  • Group Event: Lunch at Pot Liquor Smokehouse BBQ: July 9th, 2017

This was the third year in a row we have held our Bingo & BBQ event at Pot Liquor.

Arrangements were made with super Director of Marketing & Catering Events, Ricky White.

Pot Liquor Smokehouse BBQ is located at Town Square: The restaurantís name is derived from the broth in which meat or vegetables have been cooked in the broth.

They have a wide selection of contemporary barbecue cuisine with elements from each of the traditional barbecue regions like Memphis, Nashville, North and South Carolina, Kansas City and Texas.

Menu highlights include appetizers such as stuffed pigís feet accompanied by brandy braised apples, pepper greens and sticky sauce; grilled prawns with Boudin Noir and pork belly with country grits. For the main course, options include a Texas-style sliced beef brisket, hangar steak over ox-tail ragu, fried catfish Benedict, Carolina chopped pulled pork and much more.

Our event was held in the Flag Room.

We had 10 games of regular Bingo with over $1000 worth of prizes.

Dorene had won the Gold Coast ELV Slot Tourament the day before and one of her prizes was a 2-night stay at Plaza Hotel & Casino and a $100 food voucher to Oscar's Steakhouse.
I am fortunate in the fact that due to my media staus, I do not have to pay for most of our lodging or food. So what we did was have a "Pick the Highest Numbered Ball" drawing. The person that picked the highest numbered ball was going to get the hotel stay + the $100 voucher. Jane was the winner!

This was a record setting event as the Bingo event took less than an hour and there were no ties!

A great buffet was set up for us that included salad, the BEST potato salad ever!, smoked chicken, Baby back ribs, green beens, cornbread and berry cobbler.

There was also unlimited non alcoholic beverages included.

Ricky couldn't make the event this year as it was held on a Sunday, the only day he takes time off to spend with his family.

Tanya was our serer and sge was fantastic.

Everything was delicious. It's no wonder Pot Liquor has won many "Best BBQ In Las Vegas" awards.

Pot Liquor food was even better than usual, and I didn't think that was possible!

Yes, I must agree that the food was the best we've had in three years of going there. I won one of the bingo games too and won a dinner at Piero's!
