  • When a Bellagio comp seems to good to be true......Then....

Having made between 50 and 60 trips to Las Vegas over the last 20 years, We usually get some nice comped rooms from Mlife . For most of the trips we have been staying at Mandalay Bay or Delano. We always get to reserve a strip view room and we have always been well accommodated.

We have been there for New years for the last 4 years. This year we were happy to receive 3 nights comped with a fountain view room at Bellagio. Having always wanted to stay there we were quite eager to get that offer. so we booked the trip in August

Upon check in we were told that there were no more fountain view rooms available as casino operations had changed the reservations.

Let me put this question out there. If I have in my hand a reservation for a fountain view room, should not that mean that there is a fountain view room reserved for ME?

As frustrating as it may seem, on a comped reservation, the hotel can change the type of room that you will receive. I have heard others complain about the same thing. I think that it actually is written somewhere in a disclaimer in your original offer. But I could be wrong.
