    Legendary Rockstar Rod Stewart will return to Las Vegas in 2020 for 16 shows of his acclaimed residency “Rod Stewart: The Hits.”, presented in partnership by Caesars Entertainment and Live Nation Las Vegas, at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. “Rod Stewart: The Hits.” will perform select dates from March 6 through Oct. 3, 2020, with tickets going on sale to the public beginning Friday, Oct. 11 at 10 a.m. PT.

    Marini said the opening date, ticket on-sale and additional information will be announced in the months ahead so fans have the opportunity to purchase tickets for the show’s opening at SAHARA Las Vegas in 2020. Marini encourages fans to purchase tickets soon for the original show at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino as they anticipate the final performances to sell quickly.

    Following another extraordinary season on NBC, last night at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, America’s Got Talent named singer Kodi Lee the winner of the sensational Season 14. As part of his grand prize, Lee will headline his own winner’s show, an exclusive engagement known as America’s Got Talent Live, to be held in Las Vegas Nov. 7 - 10 in the Paris Theater at Paris Las Vegas. The starring role in America’s Got Talent Live in Las Vegas is in addition to the million-dollars Lee won during the exciting live Season 14 finale.

    Since first stepping on the stage, Lee captivated viewers with his talent, poise and skill. His initial audition performance of Donny Hathaway’s “A Song for You” revealed his gift to the world and earned a Golden Buzzer from judge Gabrielle Union.     Lee was born with optic nerve hypoplasia that rendered him legally blind at an early age. He is also autistic and suffers from Addison's Disease, which is a life-threatening disorder that can be fatal if not monitored. Throughout his life, the one thing that stayed constant is his connection to music and his amazing ability to retain, understand and express himself through song. He taught himself to play the piano and performs with pure emotion and astonishing skill. His goal in life is to share his music with the world and to make people happy.

    Lee performs locally near his Lake Elsinore, Calif., home at a variety of venues, including local restaurants, wineries, and music events around town. His musical repertoire ranges from rock and jazz, to R&B and pop. He has mastered classics such as Bach, Chopin, Mozart and others.     Drai’s Nightclub to Host Rolling Loud Festival “Pre-Roll” Parties with Wiz Khalifa, Gunna​​​​​​​

    Drai’s Nightclub at The Cromwell Hotel Las Vegas, in partnership with Rolling Loud Festival, will host a two-night “Pre-Roll” party with multi-platinum selling, Grammy and Golden Globe nominated recording artist, Wiz Khalifa, on Friday, Dec. 13, and rapper, Gunna, on Saturday, Dec. 14.

    Ta-Da! Bally’s Las Vegas Unveils The Magic Attic​​​​​​​

    The Magic Attic has officially been unveiled at Bally’s Las Vegas. The venue, located on the mezzanine level of Bally’s Las Vegas, was previously named Windows Showroom.

    With a maximum capacity of 300 people, the 3,685-square-foot showroom offers an intimate entertainment experience for audiences and an ideal space for magical productions and illusionists. Currently, the room’s programming includes Xavier Mortimer’s Magical Dream, Paranormal Mind Reading Magic and Potted Potter.

    The idea behind The Magic Attic is to provide a space that exclusively celebrates the culture of magic,” said Damian Costa, Caesars Entertainment vice president of entertainment operations. “With Frederic Da Silva, Xavier Mortimer and the cast of Potted Potter, the room is currently filled with world class magic-inspired productions. We look forward to this venue becoming the epicenter of magic and a must-see destination for anyone who appreciates the art form.”

    To commemorate the official rebranding, the current roster of performers joined Costa for a small ceremony to showcase new signage at the venue on Wednesday, Sept. 18.

    Bally’s Las Vegas has more tricks up its sleeve for The Magic Attic and will continue to roll out exciting new programming and renovations to the room, with an expected completion by summer of 2020. The current show schedule at The Magic Attic is as follows:

    OYO HOTEL & CASINO LAS VEGAS ANNOUNCES FOUR HOOTERS RESTAURANT SERVERS SELECTED AS 2020 INTERNATIONAL CALENDAR GIRLS



    OYO Hotel & Casino Las Vegas is proud to announce that four of its World Famous Hooters Girls were selected to be included in the 2020 International Hooters Calendar. Alexis McClendon, Taylor Cambridge, Mariah Kouyoumtjian and Essence Urquhart will represent Hooters Restaurant located inside the hotel property. The restaurant is a popular choice of both travelers and city dwellers visiting OYO Hotels & Casino.

    Each year, Hooters Girls from around the world are given the opportunity to submit their photos to be included in the international calendar. The Hooters Calendar photo crew then selects several girls from each Hooters market to participate in a professional photo shoot. The girls are narrowed down until winners are chosen to be included in the 15-month calendar. The Hooters Calendar is unique in that no models are hired, but instead, every girl included within the calendar is a Hooters waitress. The 2019 calendar featured over 200 girls from 15 countries, and this year, over 2,500 girls submitted their photos hoping to be included.

    This year, 30 girls from Hooters Restaurant inside OYO Hotel & Casino submitted their photos. Of those employees, 12 were selected to shoot photos for the calendar and four made the final cut and publication. The four local Hooters Girls are currently employed at the restaurant and were presented with the honor during an OYO Hotel & Casino Las Vegas employee celebration on Tuesday, Sept. 24.

    “I am so excited and was not expecting to be chosen,” said Essence Urquhart. “I’ve worked for Hooters for over eight years, and this is an amazing experience to have this honor. I’m appreciative of Hooters for giving me this opportunity.”

    The calendar officially goes on sale on Oct. 1and will be available for purchase at OYO Hotel & Casino inside Hooters Restaurant & Saloon and Splurge.

    “It feels great to be honored in the calendar because it’s history being made,” said Mariah Kouyoumtjian. “Now I get to be a little piece of it.”

    Hooters Restaurant & Saloon is open daily from 11 a.m. – 6 a.m. and features crave-able food including wings, boneless wings and smoked wings, cold beer and all the sports you could possibly watch on wall-to-wall big-screen TVs.

    A Hawaiian resident turned a stop at Boyd Gaming’s Main Street Station Casino Brewery Hotel into a $931,640 payday when she hit the jackpot on Aristocrat’s Madonna™ slot game Monday, Oct. 7.

    Excited to try the new Madonna-themed game that recently debuted at Boyd Gaming properties across Las Vegas, the lucky winner hit the grand jackpot with four Madonna symbols and a Wild at 6:12 p.m. that evening.

    Wayne Newton’s former ranch in Las Vegas sells for $10.53M

    Wayne Newton’s former 36-acre ranch, Casa de Shenandoah, and surrounding commercial property, has been sold for $10.53 million as part of two real estate transactions — a steep discount of more than $18 million from its 2010 purchase price.

    There’s no word at this time on what the plans are for the ranch and nearby commercial site.

    The first sale was recorded July 22 with the Clark County assessor’s office listing Smoketree LLC as the buyer of the 36-acre ranch at 6629 S. Pecos Road. The price was $5.56 million.

    BEER PARK at Paris Las Vegas Introduces New Sweet Selections​​​​​​​

    Just in time for National Dessert Month in October, BEER PARK, the popular rooftop restaurant and bar at Paris Las Vegas, has introduced a new dessert menu, available now.

    SHORT CUTS

    1- Earlier this year, Landry’s Inc. shuttered its westside Claim Jumper restaurant to make way for an under-construction Chick-fil-A. Proving there were no hard feelings, the chicken sandwich kings are now confirmed to be moving into Landry’s Golden Nuggetresort on downtown’s Fremont Street.

    Officially announced by the property and aiming for a winter debut, Chick-fil-A will take over existing, in-use casino space in the Carson Tower, a short distance from the Nugget’s 24-hour, five-year-old Claim Jumper.

    2 - Saltgrass Steak House restaurant is also on the way, a 6,180-square-foot addition to the chain’s more than 80 locations, serving chicken, seafood, chargrilled beef, and 10-hour, slow roasted prime rib. The restaurant expanded to the Golden Nugget Laughlin back in 2010.

    3 - Either supremely confident, or savvy enough to sense the value of provocative advertising, a self-described “World’s Best Ramen House” opened on Stephanie Street in Henderson.

    Joining the growing influx of pan-Asian restaurants in the region, Enza Ramen has settled into its fixed hours and menu, replacing 100 Degree Hot Pot, Ramen & Boba in a corner space at the Wigwam Center, close to the intersection of Stephanie Street and Wigwam Parkway, and next door to Poke Poku Hawaiian Poke Bar.

    The casual full-service restaurant features a value priced menu with appetizers such as chicken karaage, calamari tempura, takoyaki, and wasabi cream shrimp, all priced at less than $5.

    4 - Without any promotion, announcement from the parent company, or even its new host at McCarran International Airport, all signs point to the sixth Shake Shack expansion in Las Vegas making its debut within days.

    Moving into Terminal 1 and filling an impossible-to-miss 4,875-square-foot space inside the rotunda leading to A and B Gates, the interior furniture is in place, neon signage spelling out “burgs, burgs, burgs” is lit, the kitchen is cooking, and the new staff is in the final stages of their onsite training.

    Early plans for the counter-service restaurant projected a maximum occupancy of 229 inside the open space, featuring the same seating found at other valley locations and taking full advantage of the rotunda’s huge arched windows and views of the airport’s planes and runways.

    5 - The Bellagio confirms that a supper club is on the way to the resort, replacing Hyde, and now it has a name and opening date. The Mayfair plans to open on New Year’s Eve with a view of the Fountains at Bellagio.

    The Mayfair plans to be a dinner-and-a-show-type restaurant with live performances and American cuisine. The 13,050-square-foot space is already hiring and features a hefty estimated budget of $6,789,302 quoted in filed paperwork. A remodel of the spacious interior brings a potential occupancy of 537.

    6 - If parking downtown or on the Strip, has been a factor in purchasing a case of White Castle’s legendary square hamburgers, the East Coast slider legends are well advanced in plans to debut a new, easy-to-find location on the eastside.

    Yet to be announced by the property owners and local franchisees, White Castle will replace the shuttered Checkers fast-food restaurant at the corner of Paradise Road and Harmon Avenue, across from the Hard Rock Hotel and Hofbrauhaus Las Vegas.

    Although the location will be hard to miss at the corner of The Shoppes at Harmon Square, drivers and pedestrians who still need an extra hint will see an illuminated revolving sign placed over the drive-thru pick-up window.

    7 - Center Cut Steakhouse at the Flamingo closed on Thursday night to make way for a new steakhouse at the 70-plus-year-old resort. Cafe To Go and the Laurel Lounge also closed at the resort to make way for the new restaurant, teased by Caesars Entertainment to open in early 2020.

    The Flamingo already filed paperwork for estimated $5.5 million renovation for a steakhouse dubbed Steaks & Alibis.

    “The new steakhouse will pay homage to the resort’s iconic history of more than 70 years, while serving fresh and intriguing dishes in a modern, chic design. The steakhouse will be located where Center Cut, Café To Go and the Laurel Lounge were located,” Caesars Entertainment says in a press statement.

    8 - Ruth’s Chris Steak House at Harrah’s Las Vegas just went through a renovation after closing from July 29-Aug. 29. The refresh includes all-new carpets, furniture, décor and wall color, using an estimated construction budget of $727,501 to cover the interior enhancements. One thing that remains, the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows for a view of the Strip.

    For a limited time, diners can order a multi-course surf and turf prix fixe menu celebrating the renovation for $98 per person. Diners can choose as steakhouse salad, spicy shrimp, or lobster bisque to start. Then comes surf and turf with an eight-ounce filet and lobster tail. Diners can swap out a 20-ounce lobster tail for an additional $53, or add six large shrimp for $17, a blue cheese crust for $6, or Oscar-style for $19. Side dish choices include garlic mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, or green beans with roasted garlic. For dessert, cheesecake with raspberry sauce or almond bark.

    9 - Chef Dan Krohmer, who already has Eater 38 standout Other Mama and his Japanese robata-style Hatsumi at Fergusons Downtown, now also brings a Mexican cantina into the mix, just across the courtyard from sister restaurant Hatsumi. La Monja, Spanish for “the nun,” takes its inspiration from classic coastal Mexican regional fare modernized. The restaurant grinds its own corn in house for the tortillas and features what it calls the largest mezcal list in Downtown Las Vegas.

    Two murals anchor the dining room, one featuring a naughty nun and another drama masks. Krohmer partnered with his childhood friend, artist Brent Patten, to create a space and vibe representative of the art and culture of their hometown community in Sacramento.

    Diners can see the action in the open kitchen as ceviche, tacos, and entrees such as grilled striped bass, octopus with pipian verde, hanger steak with roasted onion puree and mushroom escabeche, enchiladas rojas, and more.

    ​​​​​​​10 - OYO Hotel & Casino Las Vegas invites guests to celebrate the return of hockey season with $5 buckets of beer at The Underground Lounge. The buckets will be offered two hours before, during and two hours after all home professional hockey games throughout the 2019-2020 season and will include five bottles of select Budweiser products.     After two memorable years in bustling Downtown Las Vegas, 7th & Carson celebrates their second anniversary with the launch of their revamped daytime and nighttime menus led by guest chef and renowned culinary chief Chef Sam “Sammy D” DeMarco.     Chef Sammy D takes his kitchen skills from the Strip and around the world to Downtown Las Vegas as he adds bold and unique flavors to feature on the restaurant’s daytime and nighttime menus. Guests can elevate lunch with crunch-worthy salads like the Wood Oven Roast Beet Salad with frisee, watercress, kumquat, vinaigrette, tarragon yogurt and toasted walnuts; the Red Quinoa Kale Salad made with tri-color carrots, cauliflower, pomegranate, peppers, cucumbers, tahini lemon dressing and sunflowers seeds – guests are encouraged to enjoy it with avocado and an egg; and the Maple Roasted Pear & Spinach Salad, a signature dish now updated with endive, goat cheese and walnut vinaigrette.     In honor of the land of the free and home of the brave, BEER PARK at Paris Las Vegas will offer military services members with a 20 percent discount this Veterans Day on Monday, Nov. 11.

    All veterans and active-duty service members who present a valid military ID will receive a 20 percent discount to thank them for their service.
