Default MATSURI at The Imperial Palace

Japan’s famed “Muscle Musical” returns to the Las Vegas Strip, as Matsuri has arrived at Imperial Palace!

Earning critical acclaim at the Riviera in 2006 and Sahara in 2007, Matsuri is a unique show that transcends language. No words are necessary, as highly skilled, athletic performers let their muscles do the talking. Costumes by world-famous designer Junko Koshino add to the visual spectacle of this showcase for traditional Japanese culture – with an original twist!

The 75-minute show features a cast of 18 Japanese athletes who perform stunts like Human Jump Rope, Judo Tango, Lion Dance and Foot Drums. Contagious energy and mesmerizing feats of strength send audiences home wide-eyed with grins sized to match.

See Matsuri for yourself inside the Imperial Showroom every day but Tuesday, starting July 31. Showtimes are 4 pm daily, with an additional 8 pm show on Fridays and an extra 1 pm show on Saturdays. Tickets are $49.95 plus applicable taxes and fees. VIP seats are $59.99. Get yours at the Imperial Palace Box Office, or by calling 888-777-7664. To purchase your tickets online now, Click Here.

I was wondering what happened to them Steve. I'm glad they're back and I think I'd like to see them again.

You can purchase tickets through goldstar.com for less than 1/2 price. Tickets through 9/30 are currently on sale.

Cool!...THANKS 'westie'
and.........................CHOP CHOP Mathew!

I just got a GoldStar VIP tic for MATSURI.
4pm, Mon. Sept. 21...see the Show, get somethin' to eat,
head back in for HUMAN NATURE.

A few bits of new info surfaced today in Weatherford's collumn about MATSURI.
Ushio Higuchi, the Japanese TV producer who puts on these Shows says
MATSURI improves (and changes) over time. This version uses 18 performers rather
than the 30 that were in the Sahara Show. It 'should' have more of an eye on
Japanese theatre and a little more beauty and grace...

(sounds like no more CHOP CHOP Mathew)

Default IP Showroom Seating?

I saw Matsuri a couple of years ago at the Sahara and enjoyed it immensely.
The Sahara had theater style seating.
I would like to see the show again, but I'm not familiar with the seating at the
IP show room. I hate sitting at tables to watch a show.
Can anyone advise me as to what type of seating will be available?

Lou

Lou -- the I.P. Theater has two options:

booths
tables

If you're at a table - you'll either need to twist your chair somewhat, or twist your head. The only good thing is that the chairs arent butted against one another too bad (unlike Flamingo & Harrahs).

It's still very old school in there - although the booths were re-done with some more 'neutral' color fabrics, lol.

Default Purchased 2 tickets through Gold Star

Main Floor seating was $37.55 + $7.00 fee = $44.55 total.
VIP seating was $32.05 + $6.00 fee = $38.05 total.

I chose the VIP seating which gives me a chance to get a booth in addition to being $6.50 less in cost.

Did I make the right choice?

Lou
