Slot Tournament Cancellation - Compensation

I signed up for a tournament last month (July) at the Luxor, and since I'm a local, I did not want a room. Well, a few days before the tournament, Luxor cancelled it due to the fact they couldn't get enough people. My host suggested that I show up for registration anyway. She said that I will be compensated for the cancellation. Here's what they gave me: $200 in free play an MP3 player ***a really nice steak dinner for two at Tenders (their new steak house that opened up a week earlier) Since I was told ahead of time about the dinner, I took my sister. We were given a limited 5 course menu. We were served: Kobe beef chili shrimp cocktail spring vegetable salad with artichoke hearts ribeye steak creme brulee & marscapone cheesecake We had other choices for several of the courses, but we were happy with what we chose. The ribeye steak was cooked to perfection and seasoned well. The wait staff was very attentive and ultra friendly, as was the General Manager. My sister and I had fun talking to them. Liquor of course, was free. Had I participated in the actual tournament, I might not have gotten $200 to play with. Not bad eh??

It's funny, as a local, they send me all these monthly free plays. I am not exaggerating when I say it amounts to about $1500 - $2000/ month. LOL The Suncoast Casino sent me notification of my free play offering of $5 for the month of August. Whoop de doo. While the others are in the HUNDREDS!
