Default MORE FUN THAN I COULD HANDLE - Slot T

MY TRIP REPORT JULY 6 - 9, 2008

Yeah that statement is so very very true!! This trip I think out did them all!! I arrived Sunday July 6th but by the time I got to Bally’s (8:30 AM) I was so very hungry and I knew if I ate breakfast be no way I could eat the Buffet at Harrah’s with Steve’s group but I could not hold off – so off I went to one of my favorite restaurants – Sidewalk Café at Bally’s – every morning for breakfast and yes their breakfast’s are great!! Than over to Harrah’s to meet several people it was great to chat and I finally got to meet the one and only STEVE!! It was awesome – so they all went in to Flavors Buffet and I decided to check out the VP at Harrah’s. Well as you all know Harrah’s pay tables are terrible and but oddly enough their machines hit! Don’t ask me why or how -- oh well so I played Triple Play DDB and DW and walked with over $200 for my little $20 I put in - not bad!! I played for about 2 hours it seem than off to Plant Hollywood to join everyone to see an incredible show “Toxic Audio”! WOW what a show 5 people in the show and they do everything with their voices and microphones. No sound tracks or instruments – incredible show – if you have not seen this show do go and see it – and again THANK YOU Steve – awesome! Than I stayed at PH and continued to play and yes I found my VP progressive 2c machine max is $1 and yeah like last time walked out with over $300 unbelievable machines!! There was a slot tourney going on behind us and the MC was so very funny – there was a guy sitting next to me and we just kept laughing – they were crazy at the Slot Tournament -- must find out how to get in their Slot T. Than finally back to Bally’s, played some more and had my luggage brought up to the room as I was gone the whole day and finally got back to dear ole Bally’s. Yes Bally’s is very good to me and I have always loved Bally’s – they are awesome people and can not do enough for you!! from the time you check in until you leave - just awesome people!

Next day Monday over to Paris for two days. This is my first time to ever stay at Paris – other than IP I have now stayed at all of Harrah’s properties in Vegas!!! Paris was awesome I will admit. I was in AH of their Lobby WOW what incredible chandlers unbelievable!! Loved to take one home with me!! Check in went great no problems again they to can’t do enough for you – in fact on Wednesday I get a call at my room asking me if I was happy and if everything was to my liking and if there was anything they could do for me – now folks I don’t know about you all – but I call that great Customer Service! Again awesome people!

Paris was great the room was incredible – chocolate brown and white rug – WOW it was beautiful. Deep Walnut color furniture and my view was very nice – of the MGM and that area of the strip! The only downside to Paris is that they have the high beds that you have to jump up on to get on the thing!! Which I personally hate! I found the bed also to be very hard especially in comparison to Bally’s where I can just curl up and sleep forever!! The other thing that was yuk (room wise) was the pictures – well they need to do a better job of placing pictures in the rooms at Paris – not good! The Cobblestone walkway I guess you would call it is very very hard on my feet and knees and that is a real problem especially when I do most of the playing and eating at Bally’s as well as running to the Monorail oh well like I said this was my first time to stay at Paris. Will I stay there again – yes I probably will maybe once in a while. RIO and Bally’s are still my love – CP is just pure LUXURY!! And yeah I do love my CP!!

Than off to Steve’s Slot Tournament at the Las Vegas Hilton – YA HOO!! By the way, the Monorail is a great way to get to LVH awesome!! The Buffet WOW was sooooo good!! oh yeah Hilton has great Chefs!! I was very impressed with the Buffet! It was nice to meet Ira, the Vice President of Communications & Community Relations from the Hilton as well as Marty and Larry and of course Steve – who definitely had it together – oh yeah!!! A Fun Slot Tournament! I did not get to the second round – I think I have forgotten how to play in a Slot Tournament – ha ha been doing too many Video Poker Tournaments oh well I had a blast anyway!! and I got a very nice Tee-shirt that will be nice to wear during our San Diego winters – yes it gets cold here too ya know!

After the Slot Tournament I went over to the Wheel of Fortune Room – this was a Promotion - now there were Wheel of Fortunes from 5c to $100 you pick your machine and every time you got the Spin Turn you got a free Tee-shirt. Up to 3 Tee-shirts per day. So I started on the 25c didn’t like the way it was acting so I jumped over to the $1 and in about ah 10 seconds maybe hit the Wheel – GOT ME FREE TEE-SHIRT!! and yes the wheel was good to me too!! Play a little longer – WA HOO got the Spin Wheel again – another FREE TEE-SHIRT yeah okay I know I’m crazy but hey I was have’n way too much fun play a little longer yeah you guess it – FREE TEE-SHIRT again and I walked out with over $300 from that crazy machine – I never stop laughing so hard it was so fun and all because of FREE TEE-SHIRTS – I know I’m crazy!!

I hit on several machine at LVH including a new machine called Life of Luxury – awesome machine. So finally I had no idea what time it was so I boogied on back to Paris – what a great day at Las Vegas Hilton – yeah I’LL BE BACK!! Awesome property!!

Now Wednesday, I was supposed to join Steve and Matthew at Mandalay Bay to see Mama Mia but my knee was giving me so much pain I just could not make it – Steve I am so sorry and again I do thank you for the offer. I will eventually get to see this show!! However, this next weekend I am going see the movie – so I guess I’ll see the movie first and than the stage show!!

Thursday I left for San Diego and really did not want to leave – I had an incredible time. Came home with over $1,000 yeah all four properties I went to the slots were very good to me. I did play some VP at Paris – it is just not good. Bally’s is incredible and I do hit there!! Never played VP at PH but at Las Vegas Hilton the little I did play was very good and I do want to search out more of their Video Poker on my next TRIP!

Yeah, I have made my reservation and air for the Birthday Bash Sept 15-17 at my RIO and yes I am staying at RIO. I also made a reservation at Harrah’s on Sunday the 14th as it has been a very long time since I have stayed at Harrah’s so I figure it is time to do it again for even more fun!!! And yes I will head over to LVH as well!

I can not thank you Steve enough for all you did – it was definitely a BLAST!! It was great meeting Bill, Adrienne, Craig, Nancy, and 43 other people – it was great. I hope we all get to meet again and hopefully more of us will organize Meets!! Lori I missed you – I know you wanted to come – hope your ankle is healing well!

Thanks to all for reading my Trip Report!

Sounds like you had a blast BJ. Congrats on the wins.

With all of these great TRs about the slot tournament I hope Steve starts planning now so he can give everyone a 2009 date ASAP. He should plan for a response 2 or 3 times the 2008 attendance. I know that I'll be there if I know early enough, H*ll doesn't freeze over and the creek don't rise !!

Thanks for the report. I think something I will do next year is to put the Forum screen names along with are regular names on the name tags.

There were specific people I wanted to meet but only knew them by their Forum names.

Steve

Steve I agree especially next year as I have a feeling you are going to have even more people. That would be great.

Good report, Beach. I am so very sorry I missed it. My broken foot bone is now completely healed (it only took 3 weeks) and I'm getting around, albeit slowly. I'll definitely be at the next one and I'm not going to walk down any staircases at least one month before!!! Then, all I'll have to do is worry about the Creek. LOL.

Hi bobbi jo, wonderful trip report. I did not know LVH had a special place for
WOF. Everytime I won on video poker, I would put $10 or $20 in a dollar WOF
which was nice to me. Sorry I was late for our lunch at MonAmiGabi (and the
previous time I was early - I'll get it right next time). Lori, I'm sorry you weren't
there; had looked forward to meeting you. bj, you are the most enthusiastic
ELV member, love ya, take care & talk later.

Fun report and it's always nice to come home a winner! I don't know what the deal is with those high beds but apparently they are "in" now - my local casino (Mohegan Sun) changed over to them a couple of years ago, too. One of my friends is quite short and she always has to hop to get into them. Hoping to make the next ELV tournament - sounded like you all had a great time.

Thanks for sharing!
Sandy
