let me be the first to let everyone know that the slot tournament was a huge success! A great time was had by all, and just about everyone left with some sort of prize, donated by the Hilton. I'm sure there will be many fantastic stories told about this event in the very near future. As for me, I got like the 2nd highest score in the first round on machine #45. Then machine #11 did nothing for me in round 2, so I was out. Wouldn't you know it--machine #11 ended up being the 3rd place winner in round 3. Larry G. Jones was the Emcee, and he did several of his voices and sound effects. Steve was quite a showman himself, when he had the microphone in his hand. He did a splendid job of pulling off this event!

Glad to hear that the tourney was a success. Steve works so hard for this board. I would have loved to be there, but already had plans made. Hopefully I will be able to make it next year. Can't wait to read all the TRs.

We just got home today. I was on slot machine #31 for round 1. I was right next to vegasbabe in round 2 on slot machine #12. Ended up being eleventh in high scores and did not get into the last round. But this was my first tournament and I had a blast and a half. Steve was awesome in coordinating everything and I hope he is not too scared of us all to do it again next year. I will definitely be there if he does. Yvette

Just getting ready to make my last Vegas run before heading to the airport. I can't express in words how much fun that the buffet and slot tournament was for me personally. Everything ran smooth with just a few glitches. Everyone had a great time and that was the bottom line. I will write a lot more when I get home. Jane already dropped me off a DVD of the tournament and I know we will have another video of the final round and a lot of people took pictures. Hopefully I will get them online soon. Steve

Maybe we should just not talk about all of the fun we had at the slot tournament and buffet for a month or so, and let those that didn't go REALLY wish they had. But it sure was fun ... So much fun that whenever the next slot tournament is, you can count me in (as long as I'm free). Allright, I'll give in. But my trip report is getting too long so it might take another day or so to edit it down then I'll post it. Mike

Steve, if slot tournament attendees don't have a problem, and you wouldn't mind doing this in your "spare" time....would it be possible to list all the people there along with their screen names? We had a really good time at the Hilton Buffet and the Slot tournament. I made it to the third round and won second place. My daughter Rebecca won tickets to Scintas and my husband Stephen won a hilton Hat in the prize drawing after the slot tournament. We already had the players club card so could not take advantage of the free gift . I will try to write a trip report. We came home on Thursday. Thanks Steve for all your hard work. Glad you had a good time. Now you can relax.
