Default Hotel Tax
Does anyone know how much the hotel & sales taxes are in Vegas?
Just found out that Priceline doesn't include them in your total - almost made hotel checkout a real disaster.

Is this 9% also the general sales tax? So if I bought a laptop for, say, $1,000, I would pay $1090? I'm actually planning on buying a new ibook and I think it may be cheaper for me to buy it while in America...

Thanks 7777. We do sometimes get hammered for customs tax but we are allowed to bring in items to a certain value before it applies. Although, they don't know that I didn't take it with me..
