Default Wynn vs. Encore

Hello. Where would you rather stay Wynn or Encore and why? Thanks for your input. Trying to make my mind up.

I play poker so to be closer to the poker room, I would choose the Wynn, but from everything I have read here and heard - they are both very, very nice. I think you would probably be happy at either one. I just prefer the Wynn because of the poker and the fact that it is closer to the Palazzo and Venetian.

I prefer WYNN over ENCORE.
I like the ambience of WYNN better...the layout of the casino, the
restaurant choices, and the openess of the casino. I feel pretty inclosed
at ENCORE with all the drapery everywhere. Gaming choices are about
even to me between the two...

Encore's rooms are a bit nicer. But if you do much walking South, Wynn is more convenient for sure.

just stayed at encore in october. really very nice room, service. wife loved it and couldn't stop talking about how nice it was.

however, in my opinion i found the walk a bit long to get to walkway by wynn. casino is very small. pool much nicer at wynn but encore pool is nice. wynn is more bustling with a more vegas aura while encore i found sedate.

can't go wrong on either one.

Your comments are really helpful. I'm actually booked for the Encore but now might switch to Wynn. I was worried about the walk to the other hotels as well. More comments and opinions are helpful. Thanks

Default Encore Vs. Wynn

Hi,

This question had been posed before, so you may want to do a search on it. But here's my opinion. I have stayed at both several times. Like everyone says, you can't go wrong with either. Both are contemporary, but the Encore I find to be more contemporary than Wynn. So, it's a matter of personal preference. Hands down, I would take the Encore. Again, a matter of personal choice, as one poster said, Encore is more sedate, which is true. The Wynn is much more crowded, but for me, personally, I prefer quiet....less smokey, since I'm not a smoker also, so the Encore is again my choice. Since I'm a local, I don't go walking around the Strip so being closer to the Palazzo like the Wynn is is not important to me. The one negative, if you will, of staying at the Encore vs. The Wynn is the fact that the buffet is in the Wynn, not the Encore. But after you eat, it's not a bad thing to take a longer walk back to your room at the Encore.

I hope this help! Enjoy!

Doris

Aria's rates are down quite a bit too...givin' o'l Stevie a run for OUR money.
Call 'em, 1.866.359.7757 and see what they can do for you...
If there's any problems (and I doubt there would be) during their opening
weeks/months...bet they'd go out of their way to make it right (think comp)

Oops...this is Jimmy's down below.

I played there for about 3 hours last April and they sent me an email rate of $99 for Wynn or Encore. I decided on Encore for now but that may change. It is incredible the rates that Venetian and Palazzo are charging compared to Wynn/Encore.

Hello Everyone, thanks for your comments. I do have Encore booked at the moment however I think I might be changing to the Wynn. I was at Encore last year and it was beautiful however it was also not very busy. I do like to see a busy casino. How about you? Also I think the fact that the buffet is at Wynn and so is the poker room. Plus it is closer to Palazzo. Does everyone agree with my comments? Am I making the right choice? How far are the elevators away from the gaming floor at Wynn. I have stayed at Caesars the past 6 trips as I was comped and that was my biggest beef was that the elevators are far away from the gaming floor, especially the Palace Tower. Comments are greatly appreciated.
