Thread: Does Harrahs still use the ADT thing?

  1. Default Does Harrahs still use the ADT thing?

What about MGM, Venetian/Palazzo, Wynn/Encore, etc. I'm trying to figure out if we should alter our play.

    Oh, Yeah!!! LOL

They all still use the ADT. Harrahs used to have your score available on line, but NO MORE unless you're a real computer geek and know how to break their codes.

The best way to get on the radar is to play at least 4 hours in one day at a casino that you like or where you like to stay. At HET, this can be 1 hour in any 4 of their casinos. At Venetian and Palazzo - either one and you're in at both. MGM/Mirage - hmm, don't know exactly how their's works.......I've play a lot at the Mirage lately and never gotten a danged thing from them, but I have gotten a few meager offers from NYNY, Excalibur and MGM.

IMO, it's best to just play the MOST at the house that you enjoy the MOST and where you like to stay. And from my experience and from I have read on other boards, Harrahs props are still the most liberal with the free rooms. It doesn't take much play to get some good room offers AND if you give them a good bit of play, you stand a good chance of getting good offers for gifts, tourneys and airfare.
Venetian is also giving out some good stuff right now, too. HOWEVER....
MGM seems to be catching on and they are offering more free stuff without the 'gotchas' in the fine print.

The one that has disappointed me is B-Connected(Coast-Boyd). Since they changed over they seem to have gotten a little stingy - at least not as much is coming to my mailbox. Even the Sam's Town in Shreveport has forgotten me and they used to give me some great stuff.

I don't understand Wynn. I have played there much more that W has but he gets some meager offers, I get NONE. But I usually win and he doesn't. So if you WIN at WYNN, you don't get invited back????

So to recap all the redundant double talk.....Yes, ADT still matters.

We were disappointed with MGM's lack of offers for summer/fall. We called today and got free rooms for 3 nights in June; not sure what all else, if anything, is included. The host seemed to think we knew about the free nights, but I double checked our online offers and it wasn't in there. I know Harrah's used to take good care of us years ago, so we thought we might try to spread our play around a little more this trip and see what happens. I agree about Boyd. They have really cut back on their offers. In fact, I have to get DH to call the host today because he still has to confirm our rooms! When he last spoke with our host, she said that they have changed the comp system and that she'd check on his request and he should call her back. We'll see what happens. I guess they are all hurting financially and that's probably why our offers aren't as good as they used to be. Lord knows, I lost enough on our last trip! With the amount I played and lost we used to get 7 nights RFB comped at Harrah's. I know they've changed since then, but I wonder if we can't get better offers from HET than what we've gotten from MGM lately.
We've never gotten any offers from Wynn. Then again, we only played there once. I guess they only want people who don't win lol!
I was surprised we didn't get any offers from Venetian. We ran a few hundred through their machines in January and got no offers. I've been reading about people who ran $20 through their machines getting offers. We get discounted room offers and slot tourneys and that's it. I didn't think we'd get much anyway because I knew we hardly played anything, but was surprised because of hearing what others have said they've gotten for far less play.

I wonder what the ADT policy is for MGM? I hope someone who knows chimes in... I think that's why our offers aren't that good at MGM. We had another long trip in January and played off and on for more than a week at one or more of their properties. Sometimes more coin in/out than others. DH won quite a bit on their FP. The first few days, they were sending up gift baskets every day and kept adding FP and free show and meal offers. We were so busy gambling, we didn't really want to eat at a fancy schmancy restaurant and only went to see Ka. The following week, things died down a little more and DH called the host to ask for that meal/show comp and she said she couldn't comp us to an expensive show, just one of the lesser ones like Crazy Horse, and no more hoity toity meal offers either. So we never went to see the show or eat. And we still gambled there off and on. So maybe due to the ADT, we unknowingly ruined our comp rating.
ETA: I take that back. I think we saw KA in Oct. Which means we didn't see any shows this past trip and they still wouldn't comp us to anything but the cheaper shows. Sorry, I was so sick on our trip, one day is running into another. I don't know what the heck we did. All I know is I lost a lot!

Exactly. There have been numerous reports about people winning at Wynn/Encore get no mail offers and their spouses who played less but lost got great offers. This is even more the case with winning video poker players.
