Default All Day Buffet Pass at Excalibur = $25.00

Could we be seeing a new Las Vegas Trend?

The economic slump has Las Vegas casinos blitzing the Internet with offers that include free rooms, half-price show tickets and airplane vouchers for future trips.

The Excalibur is filling a new niche, so to speak, for the gluttonous crowd.

The budget property is offering unlimited, all-day access to its buffet for $25. One can only imagine how much damage can be done to a roast or pasta platter in 24 hours.

Like many surprising hotel bargains these days, it's something of a social experiment. Or maybe a Pavlovian one.

The offer is available to customers who offer an e-mail address when they sign up for a MGM Mirage player card.

So that means only open to new players, correct? Because if you already have a card, you don't need to sign up for another one?

The only problem with that offer is the fact that it's for the Excalibur Buffet. I would rank it right next to the Circus-Circus Buffet, or would Barfett be a better term?

While, I'm serious about the buffet quality, I hope it might be a trend. Though I'm not sure I would want more than one buffet per trip. Maybe at Wynn or Bellagio, but even then, I'm not a big buffet fan.

Hmmm...good question...I would think they would offer this to anyone that has a Player's Card.

I receive offers from them because I'm a Players Club member. They have sent me the $25.00 all-day offer, so I don't think it is just a sign up bonus. I think it's available to all Players Club members.

Now, I don't know this buffet. I've read frequently that it's average at best. However, for $25.00 for an all-day pass -- well, it seems like a bargain to me. Unless you're eating Big Macs every meal, it would be hard to eat in Vegas for $25.00 per day.
