No Luxor does not have a free shuttle. You can get a shuttle from the AP and it costs between $5.50 and $6.50 per person. It loads up and when full it takes off for a sightseeing trip of the backside and loading docks of many casinos and depending what stops the driver has to take you could arrive in 15 minutes or 1 hour and 15 minutes.

ADVICE: Take a cab and tell the driver "No Tunnel" and if he was like the one I got this month he might suggest the freeway being faster and cheaper. N-O-O-O !!! The taxi fare would average $12-14. Of course LV is a service employer so "plus tip" is with any price.

NO!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT TAKE ANY SHUTTLE!!! They may be "cheap" but they are a nightmare. The first few times I did not know any better and took a shuttle - first of all, you sometimes have to wait half an hour in the blazing heat for the shuttle that goes to your hotel to arrive. And that is after you spend a while tracking down the right spot - they are scattered all over the place, and you have to make sure it is the right service (there is Coach, Showtime and who knows what else). THEN it stops at every spot along the way, inching to each new hotel in the street traffic. One memorable time, Memorial Day eve 2005, after dropping the next to the last passengers off at The Frontier, decided he did not want to turn and go into the Wynn parking lot so he made me GET OFF THE SHUTTLE, baggage and all, and drag my bags all the way down the block, cross the strip and up the Wynn driveway myself. NEVER NEVER AGAIN. The bottom line - let's say you land at 3pm - you will not step foot in your hotel until 5pm or 5:30pm between getting your luggagem waiting for that shuttle etc. Believe me I know because it happened to me several times before I started taking taxis. This time I am taking a private car. The taxi to Luxor is worth every penny.

you will be forever waiting and waiting and waiting then lurching to every casino to drop off passengers because your hotel will always be the last stop. Worth standing in line for a taxi and even more worth it to hire a sedan. Usually about 40-50$.

It may be because of the rise in fuel costs etc but the cheapest sedan service I found was A1 Worldwide - I booked them for my trip tomorrow (YAY!)...they all say approximately $42.00 as the fare and then you have to add in airport fees, automatic gratuity included, etc so the final total is a bit more. The cheapest I found was A1 with the final total at $56 including the gratuity and all the fees. Everything else I checked out was well over $60 when the dust cleared!!! But I still think it would be worth every penny!!!

Luxor is really close to the airport. The cab fare is worth it to get to the hotel quickly without making lots of stops. About $15.00.

If you're arriving solo and want to save a few bucks, a shuttle to Luxor at the south end of the strip won't be that bad. Try Bell Trans, I've used their limos and shuttles for years. It will cost you $6.00 (plus an optional $1 or so tip to the driver). A cab, given that they have just implemented or are about to implement a fuel surcharge, might run closer to $20 with a decent tip.

Well if someone really wants to save money the shuttle is the cheapest way to go, but you know the old saying - you get what you pay for - it really is the most unpleasant way to begin a Vegas trip. Having done it several times, I can speak from my own experience and have waited in 100 degree temperatures in the blazing sun for nearly half an hour for the shuttle going to the hotel to even show up. It is not in everyone's budget to hire a private sedan because it is pricier and shuttles are the most economical but I think $20.00 is a good compromise in the middle and a very small price to pay for a taxi to start a trip off relaxed and comfortable and not waste the first few hours in Vegas just trying to get to your hotel and check in...and I have also had the shuttle arrive late to pick me up on the return trip from the hotel to the airport ...never again for me, I do not care how much a sedan costs lol
