Thread: Show Tickets, When To Purchase

Default Show Tickets, When To Purchase

Ok I have listed the shows i want to go see, this time ones I have not seen yet, for my trip Sun June 10th-Fri June 15th, no show Friday as I fly home that night.
    Here are the shows:

    Howie Mandel
    Toni Braxton
    Jubilee
    Folies Bergere
    X-Burlesque

Now I figure i will purchase Toni Braxton and Howie Mandel in the coming days.
But the other ones, is it best to wait until I get to Vegas and get the tickets, do those shows go on sale at the half price booth? Or should I be safe and order the tickets ahead of time and pay full price. Just wondering what those who have gone to shows would figure what is best.
    Thanks

X-Burlesque tickets are available through http://www.goldstarevents.com. They list full price as $53.80, and their price is $26.90. You might check the half-price ticket booths for Jubilee. Also, check the What's On magazine for coupons. I think the best coupon I've seen for Jubilee was only $5 off though. There's a printable 2-for-1 coupon for Folies Bergere here: http://www.lasvegas-nv.com/tropicana-folies-coupon.htm. I've seen both Jubilee and Folies Bergere, and Jubilee is so much more worth your hard earned dollars!

I usually book my tickets at the earliest opportunity possible (usually 3 months before the date) so ensure that I get the seats that I want. I have left it really late this year but hopefully I will still get the best seating!

Well I always get all my tickets in advance before I leave home, but I'm
real picky as to where I like to sit.

I look at the seating charts and have an idea when I call the Boxoffice
where I want my seat ticket.
I think it's pretty save to say that you could get ALL your tickets when
you get to town. I wouldn't wait until the night you want to go...I'd take a morning and hit all the Boxoffices, get you tics, and get on with your fun.

IF YOU DID HAVE A SPECIFIC SEATING SECTION in mind, I'd get those before you leave...other than that, you'll find tics for all those Shows when you get to town...I'd be greatly surprised of any of them sell out.

If you're willing to pay full price for tickets, do your homework...look at the seating charts and call the Boxoffice well in advance, you'll always come up with excelent seats.
You' find great deals with the half price ticket offices, but you'll sit where they sit you.

Thanks Gregrio, I think I will take your advice and get them the morning I get to town as I will have 3-4 hours to kill before checking in that Sunday.
Figure will change my clothes, leave my bag at the bellhop, grab a bite to eat, grab a monorail pass, I am at Excalibur, and head out to grab some tickets for the week, comeback and check in, shower and start my fun. Only 38 days to go and counting

    Howie Mandel
    Toni Braxton
    Jubilee
    Folies Bergere
    X-Burlesque

The only show that you list that might be sold out in advance would be Howie Mandel.

You should have no problem obtaining tickets to the other shows when you get to Las Vegas.

As Greg said and I also have advised our members, is to check the 1/2 price ticket outlets before paying full price for show tickets. You will be surprised what shows they offer. You just might find tickets to all your shows there.

But remember, the 1/2 price tickets are sold for shows on THE SAME DAY that you buy the tickets.

Here is a link for a coupon for 2 for 1 to X-Burlesque:

Remember, don't ware yourself out chasin' show tickets...
The Trop is across from Excaliber...get your FOLIES, then across the
street to MGM for HOWIE, then catch the monorail there to whatever
Harrah's property you want for TONI, JUBILEE, and X.

Tropicana sends out costumed showgirls to wander around and hand out discount coupons for FOLLIES. They're out every day.

Ok changed it up a bit since I read some revues.
    Howie Mandel
    Toni Braxton
    Jubilee
I will for sure go to.

Folies not sure of because of the seating. I just do not like the table type seating too much, and from what I read on here, the way it is set up is so outdated with the cramped long tables.
X-Burlesque I read the revue and sounds ok, but again the seating is what sort of discourages me. I am going to Vegas solo and so attending the shows solo.
I think I will go to see Fantasy at Luxor. Seen it twice and enjoyed it, and the lead dancer Jennifer is from Toronto.
And the 5th show is either Bite at the Stratosphere, didn't mind it really when I seen it last year in May. Or Crazy Girls at the Riviera. Seen it back in October and it was alot like La Femme (MGM's Crazy Horse paris) just less classy in a way. But you get to meet the girls after the show and get a pic with some plus a shirt and poster signed. Sort of like Fantasy where you get to meet the dancers and singer in the lobby after the show.
Or, I hate it as i end up wanting to see more than I can, Carrot Top and then it would be 3 headliners this time round.
So it is a toss up for sure between Carrot Top, Bite and Crazy Girls. Decisions decisions.....

If you're at Excalibur, check out Tickets 4 Tonight next to MGM Grand at the giant Coke bottle - it's a short walk. They have a lot of shows for tickets the same day at 1/2 price. I was there last week and many shows were available. I'd check it out before paying full price at the boxoffice. They open at 10:00AM. It's worth a shot.
