    Default Drai's or Michael's

I'll be at Barbary Coast in a few weeks for a night and
will probably get hungry. I've read good things
about Michael's but not Drai's. I read about both
on their website...they look about the same.
    ANY THOUGHTS?

    Default Another Barbary Coast option

I haven't eaten at either one but from what I've read and heard they both have excellent cuisine and are pretty pricey. We have eaten a few times at the Victorian room and found the service and food to be very good at reasonable prices. It is their "coffee shop" but when we dined there it felt much classier than others of the same ilk.

Greg...I can only help you out with Michael's. I've never eaten at Drai's..yet!

Michael's is my all time favorite restaurant. Very elegant, very old Vegas, large red velvet booths to sit in, very small, intimate, and romantic setting. Excellent service, excellent food. They start you off with this huge platter of cheese, bread, pickles, olives, etc. And, when you've finished your meal, they bring you chocolate dipped fruit and creme dip...(whether you order dessert or not). This is also the most expensive restaurant I've ever been in. Our bill (for just the two of us) was $480 (tip incl.). We did have a couple of drinks each which was probably $60 right there! Portions are plenty and taste is superb! If you don't mind spending that much, then try Michael's!

Drai's is awesome! My husband and I ate there and we both thought it was wonderful. The food was excellent and the service was great. My husband had the veal chop and I had a steak....both very tasty! We had escargot as an appetizer and it was also very good. We would highly recommend it!
