I just dont get it, i have been to that place 3 or 4 times simply cause it keeps getting these rave reviews, and the only thing i see when i get there is a bunch of mis fits . I have also had their Steak, and yes it is thick, but its not fit for a dog. Sometimes i wonder if everyone is talking about the same place.

I agree that the steak can be inconsistent, but for the $ it makes for a good meal for those who eat to live and not live to eat. I am not a gourmet and for the most part I look for sustenance only. As far as the misfits go, they were probably some of us ELV members. LOL!

It's value, baby! Not top quality food, but nowhere near top $ to eat there either.

On my recent trip I ate there with Vegasbabe and Mr. Keno and we all ordered the steak. It has been a while since I have eaten at Ellis Island, but was very surprised at both the quality and the size. All of steaks were cooked to what we ordered and were very tasty. So it will get top marks from me. The wait staff was very kind and civil. Sometimes hard to find in any restaurant. I did not see any misfits ......hmmmmmmmm..... maybe I am a misfit (LOL). Oh well. Love Ellis Island. I'm glad not everyone does. Keeps the wait times down for the rest of us.

Ellis Island use to be a Village Pub, so throughout Las Vegas area the Village Pubs have the same menu as of EI, this includes the steak special that is not on the menu. I just may try the one on east Sunset near the Ethel M candy factory, even though there is one closer to me. I just don't like to eat my meals with smokers next to me, so the EI restaurant is a nice location to have a meal.
