first things first
I never can sleep the night before a trip to Vegas. I'm too excited and also afraid I'll oversleep and miss my flight. We fly non-stop from Florida, and with crossing time zones, we are on a plane for almost seven hours, but get to Vegas only 4 hours later in the day time-wise than it was when we left. Can you spell jet-lag?
Our flights always get to Vegas in early afternoon and I've never been able to sleep on a plane, so a NAP is a must first thing on arrival! I try to get to sleep around 3:00pm, wake around 8:00 to shower, shave, dress, and then go find food. That is the ritual. After that, it is just Vegas and whatever spontaneous fun happens to be happening at any moment! I hate to admit it, but as I get older I find that I enjoy the daytime and early evening when it is not as crowded, loud, and overly intoxicated as late night. Usually I will stay out late only on the first night of a trip after my nap, and usually the last night of a trip is a late one too, just because I never want it to end. On the several nights in between, I'm usually up in my room before midnight, but up around 8:00am, ready for another day of adventure.
Three weeks to go!!!!! We'll be at The Golden Nugget May23-28! YAY!
