    Default Harrah's Buffets

Was wondering what everyone's take on Harrah's attempt to do the 24 hour buffet at one price for all the buffets on its properties. It would pay for itself alone for the buffets at Paris and Planet Hollywood and Ceasars Palace. The others I'm not so sure.

Yes..it would pay for itself at all of them...especially since you can go 'in and out' several times during the day...eat breakfast, lunch, dinner and get a few snacks in between...go from one to the other..I think it's a good deal.
Check out the prices on their website..you'll see.
None of them are bad..I think Harrahs is very, very good.

I am having a hard time locating this info at the website. Also, is this an "unlimited" 24 hour buffet pass or for a specific 24 hour time period?

In actuality, you could by this pass at 8pm one evening, use it for a late dinner that night, a breakfast, a lunch AND an early dinner the following day thus giving you an extra meal.

I saw this initially in a post by Westie..I don't know where he got the information.....but yes, it seems that it is a 24 hour pass that could be done exactly the way Steve described...get an extra meal with it..You can go in and out as many times as you like, I think....
In a recent TR posted by Gregrio..he stated that there was a buffet pass available at the Rio in March..exclusively for the Rio..that cost him $25..To quote him...
"The RIO $25. buffet is a great deal! (everyone seems to be doing it) but
the RIO's was the best price I saw. LUXOR wanted over THIRTY BUCKS for
theirs! At RIO...go in for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, after dinner snacks..."

Rio may have been a test case...and since it was successful they made it cover all of their casinos....Pretty neat....I just wonder how long they will continue to do it.

I hope it's still going on when we get there on October 30. Out of our five days, I would do at least 2-3 of those days in buffets. The other days, there are some other restaurants we have picked out though.

    There's a column in today's LAS VEGAS SUN (Sun.April 11th)
    in the A&E section...'Seven Harrah's buffets in 24 hours:$29.99'
    www.lasvegassun.com

...don't know if you'll actually see it on any Harrah's property websites, but it seems quite available.

I noticed at the RIO's World Buffet...THEY DON'T ADVERTISE THIS (they'll take your money for the regular price each time you visit but...) Tell 'em you want the all day special and you'll get it.

I didn't know about it. One of the Chefs from the kitchen was making the rounds in the Diamond/Platinum dining room and mentioned it to me (after I'd paid full price for a one time sitting) She took me up front and had my charge changed to the special!

Thanks Greg..here is a more direct link:
    http://www.lasvegassun.com/blogs/coi...24-hours-2999/

I had a heard time finding it on the main page. The article does not say if there is a specific time period that the pass is good for. If I were Harrah's, I would include a line pass with the offer.

And I assume you can pay for it with your TR points....a GREAT DEAL.

Another thing Harrahs has been doing at some of their boat properties...for quite sometime...
play for 30 minutes and get a free buffet.
We used it at Horseshoe, Council Bluffs last summer...
and Horseshoe, Bossier City on our Christmas trip...

And they advertise it with signs posted in the foyers and on the casino floor. If you can make a $20 last for that long and maybe win a little or come out even...a really good deal. But even if you don't win on the slots....
you were gonna play anyway. LOL

Well Steve, that would make it too easy now wouldn't it, lol.
I'm sure Harrah's wouldn't mind a bit if customers missed this offer all together and just paid the rack rate buffet price.
I'd be curious if the quality/variety changes at any of these buffets...I found the RIO's World Buffet was still up to it's great variety of choices and regularly refreshed dishes!
DAMN!...I'm gettin' hungry and it's only 7:25am. I gotta wait til my local eatery starts serving lunch at 11am...
...I NEED PIZZA! (my usual Sunday breakfast, lol)

Now ya see...'sonntex' info is more to Harrah's style. Play some, spend your money on our casino and
    MAYBE win a ?free? buffet.
Advertise the all day special though....naaa, let 'em 'get lucky' and find it out for themselves.

Until the offer ends however, I'll be using it every time I hit town!
