I can take criticism as well as I can compliments. I just don't like it smeared in my face. As Lori stated, I get these submissions mostly from my members ..which is the case with the joke topic. If a member makes a contribution to The Forums ..no matter if I think it will be a hit or be a bomb, I will post the question. So it only has a page and a half so far, it looks like it affected you more that it did me. If you don't like Topic, I suggest you just don't read it. Also if you are really "hungry" then just read ACCESS VEGAS. I am sure my friend Ted will be very happy.

While I realize that you've been a member since 2008 and you have made six very valuable contributions during that time, I'm not sure that Steve deserves this level of disrespect. While you are entitled to your opinion as to the intelligence of the topic, most of the time Steve doesn't initiate the question. Many of our members submit questions to Steve and it's very likely that, in this case, a member submitted the question so you also may have insulted one of the members. Personally I like jokes. Perhaps you do not. Clearly, you are entitled to that. I suspect that the only reason that there aren't a lot of responses is because people don't know any Vegas jokes. The TOTW questions are designed to encourage members to participate in the board. Sometimes the questions are very thoughtful and elicit significant responses. Other times, the questions are more "frivolous." We have thousands of members representing a large cross section of society and we all have our own opinions. Not everyone has something to say all the time but I think many of us enjoy reading what each other has to say...or not; no law says you have to read it. Certainly, if you don't like the question you are always free not to answer it. You are not free to publicly call Steve out with your scintillating opinions. Understand that you now have my attention which is not necessarily a good thing. Lori R
