Rio's Buzios Seafood Restaurant Offers New Menu

The new menu at Buzios Seafood Restaurant within the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino features an incredible array of the finest seafood selections flown in fresh daily from around the world. From enticing appetizers and assorted salads to seafood platters, Chef Joseph Hamel creates paradise for the palate.

Various seafood delicacies such as main lobster and fresh artichoke heart nicoise salad, coral grilled New York steak, lobster and linguini with black truffle cream and a perfectly grilled swordfish medallion are just a few new items that will tempt diners. On the lighter side, lunch items such as a sashimi and avocado tasting, hawker style noodles with prawns and the bento lunch, including risotto of the week, grilled salmon, seared scallops, are available for those craving something different.

“We continue to offer our guests Buzios signature dishes as well an array of new delicacies,” said William Becker, director of culinary operations at the Rio. “Chef Hamel’s new menu offers an assortment of salads, fresh seafood, juicy steaks, sandwiches, ethnic noodles and pasta, making sure there is something for every discriminating palate.”

Surrounded by the mesmerizing backdrop of the Rio’s exotic white sand beaches and tropical lagoon, Buzios ambiance works in harmony with Chef Hamel’s open show kitchen. The combination promises a unique dining experience, featuring an extravagant selection of lobsters, oysters, mussels, clams and shrimp.

Buzios was named “Best Seafood in the Desert” by the Zagat Survey, as well as one of Las Vegas’ top 50 restaurants by Casino Player magazine. In addition, Buzios was voted Las Vegas’ “Best Seafood Restaurant” in 2001 by readers of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, and won a first place award in the 2002 Casino Player Best of Gaming Awards.

To ensure Buzios’ distinguished standard of taste, quality and presentation, Chef Hamel personally hand picks the room’s daily selection of delicate seafood from the Rio’s own live aquarium habitat.
