Hi all, We are meeting friends in Vegas in a couple weeks and they suggested that "Ka" be our show of choice for this trip. What would your opinion be on this show?
We are all Vegas veterans and have seen many shows, including "O" and "Mystere". "Ka" currently has a buy one get one for $25 special. Do you think this is a good deal? Suggestions? Thanks!

In my opinion, Ka' is a must see!
I'm a fan of Mystere too and would say that Ka' is completely different.
Ka has a story line but is also very fast-paced and exciting.
I walked out of the theatre with my mouth hanging open and I've seen quite a few cirque shows.
Definitely don't go see Zumanity...it's not worth the $.
Have fun!

YES! By all means see Ka! We think the stage is perhaps the most advanced in the world today. The entire production is quite remarkable. Of all the Vegas shows we have seen, we put it firmly at #1 1/2! This is a very good deal for you. Just take the monorail to escape after the show, walk or wait an hour to move on. Have fun!

I can only echo what others have said... yep, 'that stage' is just amazing!!!
I've seen only 2 cirque shows (Ka being one of them), so take that for what it's worth. But, i loved KA!!!! The theater, the special effects, the sounds of it all. A lot of fun.

KA' is one of my favorite Shows!...I've seen it many times.
You can't beat the ticket deal but...I'm not sure where they
place you for the seats. YOU DO NOT WANT anywhere in
the front sections. UPPER REAR is where the best seats are
to experience everything KA' has to offer.
I suggest SECTION 202, ROWS AA-EE

KA put my spouse and me to sleep. Spent the night looking at the stage machinery from the left front of the theater.
Lots of members like it though.
O and Mystere are great shows.

We liked "Ka" the least of all of the CDS shows and would not see it again. We have seen them all, our favorite being "LOVE", followed by "Mystere". I guess that is why there are so many choices in Vegas, everyone has a different opinion. The stage was awesome though

You are not alone. DH and I had a hard time not falling asleep. All around us people looked bored. Nobody clapped until people in the back of the room would clap. It was very boring. Nice stage production and props though, but everything else was zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz......
We loved Love.

I agree - boring. We didn't care for it at all. We thought it was us but a few days later we ran into a couple who walked out 30 minutes after the show started. A few bartenders we know at the hotel where we stay stated that they thought it was, by far, the worst Cirque show.

Good news---the four of us enjoyed Ka very much. Personally I have seen Mystere and "O" and found Ka to be more entertaining to me. Our seats were in the back part of section 101 and gave us a pretty good view, but I can see where section 202 would be better. The moving stage was awesome! Glad we went. Also we had a great stay at the Hilton. Wonderful weather, excellent company with our friends, good enough gambling that our plane fare was pretty much our only expense, and excellent service from our slot host, Greg Travis. Looking forward to the next trip already:).

Glad you liked "KA" and had a good trip. I guess that is why there are so many different shows to pick from; everyone has a different opinion about shows they see.

That's why I love these discussion boards.... a wide selection of opinions. If you're participating enough, you start to form your own opinion of the other posters and when you find some with your similar tastes and opinions, they are the ones you tend to listen to most.
All in all, I find it refreshing to hear other peoples thoughts and see their views. But you have to realize it's like food... it just tastes different to other people.

My husband and I have been twice and would go see it again. The music
is great. I would suggest to go to the site and read what the show is about.
I would hear people after they left and said they didn't understand what they just saw.
Don't miss it. Have fun.

I agree with Jerri. It's not necessary to know the story... but there is one and it helps to know what is going on.
Personally...to me some of it is boring, but there are many scenes that will WOW you. The things they do with the stage are astounding. I kept thinking somebody is going to fall off...both times I saw it.
That said...I prefer Mystere for the color, costumes, music...to me its more what a cirque show is supposed to be.........
and LOVE, well....just because - it's BEATLES MUSIC, BABY!!!

My research on KA showed many loved it, and others did not. I decided to see it last week (March 2010) and was greatly disappointed, so count me among those who did not like it, despite the fact that it had a "storyline". There was no acrobatic, bungee jumping, swinging above the crowd like in other Cirque shows (I've seen Mystere, OH!, and Love). Mostly onstage dancing (sword fighting, stick fighting,...). It was too drawn out. Anyways, if you are expecting KA to be like the other Cirque shows, it is not. For better or for worse. Be forewarned.

Vegas Baby! Vegas!
Love all the Cirque shows, Vegas and on the road.
Trying to rank Mystere, O, Ka and Love is very hard.
Mystere and O are in first, and Love gets the nod just because of the music, but they are all very close.
Ka's stage is unreal and the technology has to be seen to be believed.
