I like MATSURI...............why?... because it's so honest,
fresh, full of energy and FUN. This is their 3?,4? visit
to Vegas and their Shows are always a refreshing change
from the typical LV entertainment.

Japanese humor and the need for group participation plays
a big part in the difference...they want the audience to feel a part of the Show.

MATSURI is a wonderful little gem with tumbling
antics, magic tricks, dancing and comedy...it's like a Japanese variety Show.
It's a smaller cast than last time, with new routines and some of the ol' favorites too.

I liked the last Show better however...
There was more color and variety but this version
is no looser...it still has all the elements of the first Show
and these young performers are just so damn full of energy and sincerity you can't help but join in and have a good time.

I had a GoldStar VIP seat down front, but was running late and didn't get to the IP until after the Show had just started. Looking at the room and view of the stage...then down at the 'long tables' down front where my seat was...
I chose to sit there in the back and...LOVED IT!
No heads in my way, I had a perfect view of the stage and all the action and when they come into the audience to get you fired up with the MATSURI chant, they came all the way back to where I was sitting........lots of fun!...at the IMPERIAL PALACE

I saw Matsuri last week for the first time and I must say this is the first Vegas show in a long time I haven't walked out on. To be honest wasn't really sure what was going on half of the time but the guessing really made it enjoyable to watch-my girlfriend is Japanese and she didn't get the 'story line' either:) After telling my friends about it we're all coming back to see it in two weeks-which is the first time I've felt moved to see a Vegas show twice...

As far a buying VIP tickets for the smaller shows like this is a waste of money. If you're planing on going during the week just buy the general admission seats and tip the usher at the door- 9 times out of 10 they'll get you better seat and its only costing you a 10 dollar tip. I went on a Friday and the show room wasn't even close to being full. Also if you have a Harrah's Diamond or Seven Star card Matsuri has been added to the list of free monthly show tickets you can pick from.

I didn't realize there was a storyline! Just high energy, physical showmanship. It's on my list to see again too.

Greg,

Does goldstar cost money to join?

Do they usually have tix available?

Is there a limit as to the number of tix you can buy at once?

Am thinking of seeing Matsuri with a bunch of pp.

Yeah, there's a story line but its hard to follow... If you've seen the show remember while the panda mask guy and the dove girl are looking at the map they get transported to one of the markings on the map?? There's a story there somewhere..., BUT who cares-great show with cute asians doing thing I'd never be able to do on the best day of my life!! I'm sorry I missed the other shows they've done at the Riv and Sahara... My host at Caesars said she heard that proformers are in the US with 'internship' visas from Japan-will confirm this and post the gossip late...

'Lucky45'..."there's a story there somewhere", ...yeah, somewhere, LOL!
For me, MATUSRI, like CIRQUE is something I just sit back and enjoy what's
put before me...I have no need of a story.

No Matthew, that's out but your 'CLOCK' routine where they
count the hours down on bungee cords is still in there...
