This looks like a good deal below. Anyone stayed in the south tower before? I have never stayed downtown before, little nervous about that. This is the best deal I have seen so far for the dates I will be in Las Vegas, 2-9-06 thru 2-12-06.

don't be nervous about staying downtown. and if you are going to stay downtown GN is the best.
the south tower is just as nice as the other tower. it is just a little longer walk to the casino. But it is a short walk to the parking garage , so if you drive it is more convient to get to your car.

Thanks for the info! I have enjoyed visiting downtown in prior trips, but like I said I have never stayed downtown. We always get a car, you cant beat the specials that Dollar rental has.

We always stay downtown. We love it. We are staying at the Plaza 1/25-1/31

Stayed at the GN twice and loved it. The staff is very friendly and check in was a breeze both times. South tower is fine and I thought the rooms were a great deal for the price I paid. Single room was more than enough space for me.

Don't worry about downtown, dont go strolling around after midnight away from Fremont and you'll be fine.
Cant wait to stay there again.
