For all of you who question the IP - don't!
We just returned from using the GREAT Autumn deal at the IP, courtesy of Bob and it was perfect.
No real elevator issues. yes, they are not that fast, but NBD - they have an alternate behind the 4 up front and we did fine.
Rooms were spacious, clean and well set up. We had a balcony looking over the pool and it was quiet. Lots of hangers, adaquate drawers, bathroom fine (although the shower had so much water pressure, it hurt!) and the hotel was safe.
Valets were nice and got to know us as we over tip and it was fast and you cannot beat the location.
The coupons with the package are good. We couldnt really use them all.
We did gamble quite a bit there - one of us won $500 in nickels the 1st night, two of us played alot of Texas hold em and I played blackjack. One of the few trips I personally did not win anything and came home negative (that held true for all the casinos we went to, so it was not my week).
Dealertainers were great fun, as usual. I think their Elvis was better than the one in the Legends show. That show was so-so, glad it was 2 for 1. Rolling Stones were AWFUL - rest OK.
Poker room is quiet, friendly, small.
Sunday they open up the Legends room for football with food and drinks (not free). That was fun.

Overall I would give the IP a 8 out of 10, 9 if you include the price. I will definately return. Thanks Bob!

Highlight for me was a photo shoot at the Neon Boneyard. That went so well that I decided to run a photography class and include the Boneyard, stay at the IP with the students and add in all the other great places I shoot there like Valley of Fire. I will announce it here - should be February or March.

Thanks for the report, I have a group going to IP in January and they loved the cheaper rate they got and the location.

I haven't been to the neon boneyard yet, but I have been curious. Here is the museum's web site link and the info on the hours you can get in the boneyard:

http://www.neonmuseum.org/

We keep our collection of non-restored historic signs outdoors on a 3 acre site in Las Vegas. The signs have been donated or loaned by individuals, businesses and sign companies such as Young Electric Sign Company (YESCO).

The Neon Boneyard is open by appointment only. Regular appointment hours are Tuesday-Friday between 11:00 AM-5:00 PM. Other days and times subject to staff and volunteer availability.
