Really, Lori? And I thought you were a "material girl". Heck, hope I'm not insulting you...I don't even know the words to the rest of the song.

I would add Switch at Encore to the list. I have also had two great steaks at Hawaiian Tropic Zone.

If you choose Craftsteak and you like seafood as well don't miss out on the grilled prawns which are available as an early course or in a surf and turf combo....they are some of the best I have ever had

I like delmonico's at the Venetian a lot, but I would have to say Cut at the Palazzo, awesome steak there with tons of choices for all different prices, they even show you the meat beforehand!

Ooooh, CUT... they're on my (eventual, lol) list of places to dine.

UM Kid... is CUT the steakhouse that offers your choice of Nebraskan Beef, as well as another state's Beef? I'm trying to remember where i saw the menu posted outside with 'such' offerings.

I'm with UMkid; CUT is my favorite as well. CUT offers four types of beef:
1. Japanese wagyu (from Kagoshima prefecture). A competitor of Kobe beef. Since true Kobe beef doesn't exist in the U.S., I can't say how it stacks up, but in any case it's delicious!
2. American beef from Snake River Farms - a wagyu-Angus hybrid, it's somewhere between Japanese wagyu and traditional American beef in quality. I thought it was very good indeed, although a big step below Kagoshima wagyu.
3. USDA prime beef from Nebraska (dry aged 35 days).
4. USDA prime beef from Illinois (dry aged 21 days).

Regardless of what kind of beef you order, I like the way they cook it. It's heavily charred on the outside, yet doesn't taste burnt, and the inside is still as rare as you request.

Thanks for all the info guys. As I suspected, there are lots of choices for great steaks. T-7 until I lower the steer population!!!

We enjoyed Botero at Encore, the atmosphere was good, service great and the food was very good. Wish it hadn't been January as I would have liked sitting outside overlooking the pool.

I enjoyed going to Michael's at Southpoint. Also had a great steak in the Country Club at the Wynn. Never been to Delmonicos or Craftsteak, but I will give them a try my next time out.

Delmonico in the Venetian. There is no better steak place in Las Vegas in my humble opinion, and I think I've been to most of them...at least twice.

There is a top teir of steakhouses in Vegas where all are very good, but each kind of has its nitch. Like Delmonico's is famous for the Delmonico which is a ribeye and is great. Someplace like Cut is well known for its Kobe and regional cuts. So if you could narrow down what you are looking for it would help in pin pointing where to go

Just got back from vegas. Had a great time. Had dinner with some friends at
Delmonico's. Have to say was a tad bit disappointed. Had the bone-in ribeye and the truffled potato chips. The chips were very good and the steak was too but I have definitely had better. My fiance had the filet and creamed spinach.
The filet was much better than my steak but the creamed spinach was bland.

Carnevino, Craftsteak, Gallagher's and the Bally's steakhouse all had better steaks in my opinion.

If you go to Delmonico's get the filet mignon. It is the best steak they have in my opinion.

I have a restaurant.com coupon (courtesy of Steve from the July slot tourney) for Stripsteak. Can you tell me what you had there that was good?

"The Steak House" there is a winner. A great dinner for two under $150.
Excellent old school service and atmosphere. Don't snub your nose at this place
cause it's in Circus.
You can pay much more but not get any better. Dinner comes with sides. Not extra. Bring on that potato and salad-good.
They have a back door!! You don't have to troll the casino to get there. :)
Medium rare for me. They serve nothing but wonderful 21 day dry aged beef.
20 years of 'best' votes for a reason. Give it a try!

The only good steak joint I've been to in Las Vegas was Del Frisco's. The steak was very good (I had the rib eye and Matthew had the fillet). But I thought their side orders and their "signature" lemon cake were a little weak. I'd go back for the steak, but not their side dishes. So, maybe a different place is in order.

If it's any consolation, they give away free golf tees. They were the most expensive free golf tees I've ever got.

The bone-in rib eye at n9ne is unreal. My friends all love the bone-in filet, but i had both on back to back nights on the last trip to compare and I say the rib eye is better.

The side dishes are also great - try the lobster mashed potatoes.

n9ne also has to have one of the best views of any restaurant in Vegas - and there are not even any windows!

Vic&Anthony's at the Golden Nugget, their side dishes are excellent and huge - I had the strip loin - outstanding
