My 1st trip in 4 years is planned, booked and will be here 5 weeks from tomorrow. Staying at the Paris (2nd time) and look forward to it. Couldn't get any friends or family to go this trip so I'm flying (literally) solo to Vegas. It's ok I usually meet nice people when I am playing the slots and just hanging out so i know it will be fun. I just wish I knew some like minded people who would be there to at least share a drink or dinner with one night. If any ELV members will be around Aug 8-10 let me know - would enjoy a meet, greet and gambling session.

BizzyAunt, isn't it exciting having a T-? I would think there's someone from ELV that will be in LV while you're there.

I like Paris. I stayed there 2006 and Nov 2008. My reservations are at Paris July 5-10 for the ELV tournament.

Welcome to ELV.

I don't get there until the 16th. So we'll just miss each other.

Have a great time. You won't believe the changes in four short years.

thanks for the warm welcome and comments. I'd like to try some new places this year - maybe Bill's and the Venetian and the new M? Also where is and what is machine 4079? I need some super luck and great pointers on what to play this trip.

Don't even think about #4097. He belongs to Sonntex, and only Sonntex. In fact, I found him rather easily last week and tried to bribe him with a wad of cash. He just laughed in my face.

Less than 3 weeks to go now. Just had some foot surgery (top of the foot -thank goodness) last Friday and am recovering well. Tomorrow it's back to walking (could be slow at first) then next week back to strength training (gotta get those Deal and Play Max fingers limbered up). Actually I'm training for the Marine Corp Mud Run for 2010. Oh I digress - bck to Vegas! Can't wait - booked a massage at Mandara Spa at Paris and if the slots treat me right I'll spring for a facial too  if I can drag myself away from the tables and slots. Thinking about the Jersey Boys show - have read pretty good reviews - any comments? Don't want to spend over $75 on a show but would like to see something this trip.

I'm betting JERSEY BOYS would be the right show for you. Lot's of great music and a pretty compelling story, too.

Well it's just one more week til I leave. I know have a friend going with me. It should be interesting as she is 24 and I am 54. We have booked tickets to see Criss Angel at Luxor with the buy one get one ticket for $25 deal, made reservations at Mix at Mandalay Bay for our last night and of course spa appointments during our stay at Paris. She wants to shop shop shop and I want to gamble gamble gamble. I think we'll spend time in the same hotel but she'll buying and I'll be gambling. I have surely been enjoying reading everyone's trip reports and look forward to sharing mine when we return.
