My wife had a seminar in Vegas and I decided to tag along. We arrived at Paris, checked in and had dinner at the buffet, big mistake, it was our worst dining experience in Vegas. After dinner I played craps and won about 100, walked over to the Venetian and lost $100, back to Paris and won $150 called it a night. The next day while my wife was in class, I gambled at Caesars, Venetian, MGM, NYNY, Ballys, Paris, Wynn and was down about $1500. We had dinner at Paris Steakhouse, steak was over-cooked, sent it back, the replacement steak was excellent.

Well the next day, I wasn't in the mood to gamble, but my wife's boss said to make reservations at whatever restaurant I chose. So I went down to Caesars and made reservations at Nero's, well since I was there I played craps for about 30 mins and won about $200, I was feeling a little better and decided I would not play anymore until later that night. Dinner was great, the boss picked up the tab and ordered two great bottles of wine, our wives had only a glass each, so it was up to the men to finish off both bottles. Conversation topic towards the end of dinner was on craps, I tried to explain the game, but pointed out that it would be easier to show them on a live game.

After dinner we went to the crap table and I started to play, the dice were passed to me and I rolled for only 20 mins, but I hit all my points and place bets, $1100 was what I cashed out. Left for the airport the next morning, won another $100 on the way out the door. I guess I'll be returning in Dec.

Worse dining experience at Paris one night, and then you go back to the same hotel - what gives? You should have learned your lesson.

But, thanks for the report.

Only ate there again because we could charge it to the hotel and submit the expense back to her office for reimbursement.

What was wrong with the dinner buffet? I've been there many times, and I think it's one of the best in Vegas.

Was it the selection? The food quality? The price? The service?

Just back from a week's stay at the Paris Resort. The first evening we ate at the Paris Buffet, mostly because of the rave reviews I've been reading on this and one other Las Vegas Forum. What a great big disappointment. The service was awful; the food, including the meats sitting under the warming lights, were barely warm. The grilled veggies were cold. The bread selection was hidden. The choices were sparse. Only good thing about the whole meal were the desserts. I would never recommend going to the Paris Buffet for dinner.

Can't imagine a bad meal at the Paris buffet - it's one of the only ones we will eat in Vegas. Usually have the breakfast buffet there though, have never had cold food, bad service, or limited selections. Glad you won some of your money back. Nice report, thanks for sharing.

Thanks for your report. I've heard the same about the Paris buffet. Breakfast is good, but forget lunch/dinner. I've never eaten there, but not sure I want to anymore!

We had an excellent breakfast buffet at Paris, would definitely do it again. Haven't tried lunch or dinner though.

That's too bad about your Paris buffet experience. We had an excellent meal there in early May (supper). The made-to-order crepes were outstanding and our server was very prompt and courteous.

I always enjoy the breakfast buffet at Paris too, but I've never tried the dinner. I think I will just stick to breakfast. It was nice that you won most of your money back. Have fun on the next trip!
