I have just found this sight last month, and am completely addicted to it already. I have been going to vegas the last 5 years and don't know how I never came across this sight before.
I am a high school math teacher in Frederick county Maryland. I teach mostly statistics and AP statistics, so you can see the Vegas connection. I am 45 years old, but not responsible enough to have any pets let alone the responsibilities that come with being in a relationship. ( just kidding ) In reality I spend so much time and effort in the classroom, I don't seem to find time for a life outside of my students. I am also very happy just the way I am.
I play poker on Fridays, and volunteer my time calling Bingo at the American Legion on Thursday nights. Talk about an interesting crowd to hang around! I am very active with the American Legion, so if something is going on, I'm sure to be in the middle of it.
I have a house in farm country with the sights, sounds and smells that come with that. If I had known 10 years ago how much work owning a home with an acre of land would be, not sure I would have opted for it. The upside is that I can see for miles, all just farms and no developments. I also don't have to worry about locking my doors. My biggest problem is forgetting to close the doors when I leave or go to bed this time of year. I have a neighbor, Tim, who takes care of the house and front yard while I'm in vegas. I do have so many feral cats, opossum, ground hogs, skunks, deer, red fox and other smaller animals around the house that I sometimes feel I live in a zoo.
I have a great relationship with my students, and they are well aware of my yearly trips to vegas. It is the topic of many lively conversations in class as it directly connects to what we are doing. They also love to keep track of my Friday night winnings or loses. I have Vegas posters up in my room, but have thought about seeing if I could get some property specific promotional posters, just have not followed through with that yet.
I look forward to getting to know some of you, as we all share a love of vegas. I got excited when I found this forum and saw that it really was a very active sight centered around the vegas vacationer. I have never taken photos on any of my trips, but think I will go out an buy a camera so I can document this year's trip. I have really enjoyed seeing some of the other vaction journals, and hope I can possibly return the favor.
Another vegas junkie.
