It was at Eagle Mountain Casino in Porterville, CA.
It's still not much, but it looks very, very pretty. What made it even better is that I was only playing .40 a throw.
It is in the same album.

Good one Joe. Well done.
So, just how big is that casino? I'm guessing it's on a reservation (18+ to get in) ?

Yes, its a on the Res about 12 miles from the nearest town. But a lots of people go there on the weekends, but today was light. I like this casino, but there are times it is so crowded that they make you park in parking lot #2 and #3 which are dirt parking lots, but they have small buses pick you up and take you to the door. Thankfully is was not that busy.
There is another casino about equally as far but they have a huge casino with 2 floors. But if we could I'd take Vegas over any of these places.

Wow! Imagine if that was all dollars! It's still very cool when they all line up like that tough, huh? :D

Are all Indian Casinos in Cali 18 and up? My friend told me she took her 18 year old son recently and that she thought some of them were 18+. I was surprised to hear that any would allow 18+ because they can't even legally drink at age 18, right?

This casino allows 18+ but they do not serve alcohol. The ones that do you have to be 21 to enter.

Yeah, before moving here to LV, i lived in N. Calif... and there was a combination of 18+ & 21+ policies. I guess you're right... 'it' having to do with alcohol service.
I can remember when some of these 'little places' were just makeshift buildings, metal 'temporary buildings' for bingo, mega bingo.... the buses would bring in 1000 people a day, then more - and more... Then a casino was added with 100 slot machines.. then a gaming table or two...... Next, hotel, golf, restaurants, and a spa! Finally, valet parking.. and a parking garage that would dwarf many of 'those' that are here in LV!
Cache Creek
Colusa Indian Bingo
Jackson Rancheria
(just to name a few)

One summer my wife and I went to the Redwoods and we stopped in about 9 different casinos on the way up to Oregon. That was a fun trip!
But I'll take Vegas anytime!

Very nice Joe... i stopped at a casino (somewhere in OR)... and it had 25-cent roulette. Was a blast!! I started with $6 and played for almost 3 hours. When it was over, i had $77.

I used to live in Porterville, Ca and loved to go to Eagle Mountain to try our luck. It's a heck of a trip to get there, you have to drive winding roads through hills and mountains. It's worth the trip though. We usually had good luck there. I could play video poker forever and my wife would win hundreds playing various dollar machines. That was 4-6 years ago though. We seemed to do better before they changed over from coin machines to paper and before they added on to the building. My wife had the best luck playing dollar Jackpot Party. I had the best luck playing shockwave video poker.

we have several Indian casinos here in Michigan and only one allows 18yr olds, and they do serve alcohol.
