Bellagio Summer Conservatory
Unveiled its summer tribute. The features: sunflowers, a lemonade stand, a 42-foot-high Ferris wheel and an aviary with exotic birds.
This is what they had in the Summer of '06 and I have the pictures to prove it! I thought their displays were normally unique.
Flamingo bingo!
The Flamingo recently hosted a three-day invitational bingo tournament. It climaxed with a "coverall" game in which $250,000 went to the first player who could cover all the numbers in 50 balls or less. Not only were tourney players comped to multiple-night stays at Total Rewards-enabled Strip casinos, they received something near and dear to every bingo player's heart: free daubers. Our managing editor and resident bingo-room critic is kicking himself for having missed out on the action.
How great would it be if they decided to bring back bingo to the Strip?! It's a pain having to travel to the Gold Coast, Sam's Town, Terribles, etc for a game of bingo. I'd love to see somewhere like the Flamingo bringing it back.
Lion King and Jersey Boys
Nice to read the excellent reviews on both shows since I have tickets to both for next month!
Congratulations!
... to Steve for reaching 700 Newsletters - each one as packed full of information as the next. Here's to the next 700! http://bestsmileys.com/drinking/10.gif
