Its going to be my wife and I first time in Las Vegas. Just had some friends come back and it was their first time and they said it was like nothing here in Miami. Hotels are bigger, more stuff to do, etc.... I am going up on Thursday and leaving Monday. Planning on going to the UFC fight at the Mandalay Bay if I can score some tickets. I have seen a lot on Craigs List but dont really know what is real and fake. If not I am looking for somewhere I can watch the fight. We are planning on staying at the MGM Grand to save some money. Really liked the Mandalay Bay, Venetian, and Bellagio but for our first time couldnt justify the extra money. We plan on seeing 'O' and 'Zumanity' as our shows. Really liked the reviews on the Charlie Palmer, Craftsteak at MGM, The Steakhouse at Circus-Circus, Paris Paris and Bellagio buffets, Mon Ami Gabi at Paris, and Del Friscos. Also where can I find all the coupons that I keep hearing about? Anything else I should check out? Maybe some of what I have researched is not so good. I appreciate the help!

Sounds like you'll have a heck of a trip!!
Too bad, though, you'll miss out on our ELV slot tournament (which will be on the prior tuesday).
Anyhow - you named some fantastic restaurants. Now, i havent dined at all of them, but they're at the top of most folks' list.
There are buy one get one deals avail for cirque shows (selected dates), i'll see if i can find that code/thread for you.
UFC (and boxing tix) are sort of goofy here. And, on craigslist too! The price will come down more and more as the fight day/time comes closer. Key is 'time'... so let's put the calendar on the back burner. Case in point: my friend went to see the Hatton/Pacqueo (spell?) fight a couple of weeks ago. He just went down to the arena & purposely missed the undercard... and tix were available from desperate scalpers. They really were!! (he got in for $100), instead of spending $700. It can be hit or miss. Craigslist is juuuust the same. Dont get fooled by "hurry, these tickets wont last" ads.
There is of course a slight chance of buying counterfeit seats from a scalper - you just never know.
If you absolutely HAVE TO SEE the fight - get a ticket from:
box office
licensed agent
casino host
or
scalper/craigslist person/random joker (if he/she is ALSO going to the fight and will gaurantee you get thru the turnstile along with you before you make payment)
Coupons? What coupons!?!?! For the joints you mentioned, they dont do coupons! LOL. If you're wanting some buy one get one buffet stuff... then maybe get the LVA Members Rewards book (or the ACG book). Otherwise, new card sign-ups will get you a 'funbook' periodically.

Welcome to the forums, Miami. Glad you're here! First of all, not as many people read the "Upcoming Trip" thread so you may do well to re-post under "Members need help."
MGM is a very nice hotel. Some people don't like staying there because it is so vast. I stayed there once and I liked it. As for the buffets, I used to be a real big fan of the Paris breakfast buffet but, as of late, we are hearing that the quality has slipped a little. As long as they still have the fresh crepes, I would still eat there. I didn't think their lunch and dinner was all that but maybe that's just me (and a couple of other people ;)). Most of the restaurants you mention do not have coupons (as far as I know). Most of us get our coupons from www.restaurants.com, the American Casino Guide and the Pocketbook of Values from Las Vegas Advisor. There are also dining discounts available at Tix 4 Tonite (4 locations on the strip--one of which is in the Coca Cola store just north of the MGM).
I'm not sure about Zumanity but I hear O is very good. Do you have any kind of game plan about what you want to see or where you want to play? Do you have any favorite machines or table games? As I said earlier, re-post under Members need help and you'll have a ton of informed responses. We love helping the first timers.
