We were there last month, I really like the IP, I like having a balcony, open door sit outside and have a drink, had a room overlooking harrahs pool, better sites at IP pool , only problem with IP is elevators, slow slow slow, If you play poker, they have the best comp around $3 an hr, thats great, also good comps for table play!

Yes it it OK or I wouldn't have advised you to call Bob. It is NOT fancy but the rooms are ok. The casino is friendly and since the remodling, a lot more open and airy. I don't think you will be disappointed.

We've stayed at IP several times. It's not my favorite place but it's OK. We always get free room offers there so that's why we go back. I would not pay to stay there. Their player's club cash and comps are good, too. We always eat free there and we usually cash in for $30.00 to $50.00 on our player's card every other trip or so. We will be there 11/10/05-11/11/05 in a free room. So, like I said, for free it's good. Get the free pic with the blues brothers out front on the sidewalk. It's a great freebie.

Have stayed there a few times and have never had a problem, it's a basic hotel. Make sure you dont get a room on the Harrah's side if you are a light sleeper. The music is very loud and goes late into the night.

Not the Fanciest on the strip, but then not the highest priced either.
Good location on the strip and Monorail route.
The Harrahs court is closed for now (or soon) for remodeling.
We actually enjoyed the live music in the early evening while we were getting ready to go out. They usually wrap up by 2 am and we always got back to the room later than that, so it was never a problem for us.

Stayed at the IP 10/31 -11 /4, it was our 5th visit there.I,ll tell you the IP has alot going for it,the location, the friendly staff, navigation of the casino and of course the cost.I can not justifiy to myself paying upwards of 150.00 a night to sleep and shower! This trip all nights,1dinner,all morning coffee and tea room service were comped,100.00 cash back and there is 100.00 comp left on my players card.(hopefuly I will be back there before Harrah's gets ahold of it!)Bob Cohen ofcourse set us up,and has before. This property is alot older than the Mega resorts on the strip and if you keep that in mind when you are there you can have a great stay! I will really miss the IP when it goes! hope this helps,LOL

I was just there and the place was great. WIfe thinks it is better than Gold Coast but not qute as nice as Orleans.
We are on 17th floor facing the parking lot and was very quiet. And no problems with the elevators.
I want to go back before XMas but with her baking season it is unlikely.
They just announced another $29/$39 nights until 12/25.
Hotel rooms remind me of a basic Holiday Inn.
The only bad thing was the card tables - they were terrible to me this trip.
Never did look up Mr. Cohen - where is he usually - slots or cards?

I think IP is great, was there in Oct, back in Jan. great location, sure there are fancier but IP is great value, best poker room comps in Vegas, $3 an hour most places are max $1 , my home casino comps a whole 60 cents an hr, greedy indians, two new casinos going up now within an hr drive of either one, I hope it hurts the Indians, non tax paying sobs, Why do we have to pay for our ancestors doings?

It's not a Palace but for the money it's fine. This is the casino where I win the most money on slots. I just love the atmosphere

Hi Everyone:
We will be in Vegas Jan 3 to 12th for the CES convention. Not me but my dh is going to the convention. We didn't book it until recently and had a rough time getting anything as the critical days of the convention were booked up everywhere. Finally, we were able to get an Air Canada Vacation Package which included the Imperial Palace. This was despite the fact it was full the Friday and Saturday night but I guess they keep some rooms aside for packages. We arrive about 11 a.m. Do they have early check - in? We are coming from the east, 3 hours time difference.
We have visited it before and stayed once about 15 years ago for 4 nights and found it okay but slow elevators.
Is there a way to get an upgrade while on a package? I know it is a busy time. The IP is a great location. We have stayed at Harrah's and got a lovely strip view room and the same at the Flamingo. We just got that and it was also a package. Air Transat I think.
Any other suggestions would be most welcome.
Thanks,
Johanna

My experience with package deals is no comps for room rates, charge dinners and such to the room and comps will pay for that. It couldn't hurt to call Bob C and see what he can do for you. He may still get you VIP check in even with the package and that will save you time.
The IP has a great location, the Carnival Court Bar is one of my favorite places and is located just a stumble from the IP, between IP and Harrahs.
I was not impressed with IPs restuarants but Harrahs has some nice places to eat, again right next door.
Have a great time :)

Thanks Tommi:
That is great information. I will call Bob Cohen from here.
Incidentally, we have not yet received our tickets and I am getting nervous. Today (Dec. 27) is also a Stat holiday here and cannot get anyone on the phone so I will try again tomorrow and pester them some more. They have not yet been printed by Air Canada.
We leave very early Jan. 5th. Plane leaves at 8:45 a.m. here and we have to be at the airport at 5:45 a.m.
These are NOT e-tickets. I wish they were. Also, we need the voucher for the hotel.
Jan. 2 is also a holiday here.
Johanna:)

Hi Steve:
Yes, I will phone him from here, in Canada, and talk to him if I can. I will certainly mention the newsletter.
I will also call him before we leave the IP. The reason we took a package plan is because there was absolutely no availability at a decent price left on the strip (except Stratosphere) and the package had availability at the IP which is a GREAT location.
Thanks for all your help.
Johanna
