July 5-10 for WSOP

The hubby won a seat in the WSOP Main Event this summer, so we will be there early July. Main Event starts on July 3rd but there are 4 Day Ones, so we are hoping he'll get to start on the 6th so we can avoid the July 4th weekend rates! Differences of over $300! Anyway, we'll get free rooms at Bally's & Main Street Station so we can have a bed where ever we decide to play. I like downtown better than the strip or any other off-strip place, so unless I'm cheering him on at the rails in the RIO, I'll be cheaping it up downtown.

Congratulations to your hubby on winning a WSOP seat. My husband did NOT win one and he is pouting as he was in several tournaments this year trying. It's about time we heard of someone winning, did he have the choice of $8000 cash instead of the $10,000 seat? We hope you have the time to run over to the Hilton while you are in Las Vegas and join us at the buffet or tournament or the side trip to see Larry Jones. Don't forget to send your check to Steve first and let him know if you want to join in.

He didn't win via poker site...we had a group of 30 guys play online twice a month since fall, tallying points each tournament. We all paid $600 each. 1st place got Main Event entry + spending money, 2nd place got $1500 entry + spending money.

We've been trying to win another seat so we can just pocket some money!

We got confirmation for the 6th, so YAY, he starts play on the 4th day one (Monday), we'll be there all week.

I've got to look into joining up for the tournament & meet & stuff. We always go about this time every year & I always say I'll join up with everyone but I always get caught up in VEGAS, BABY!!!
