Fitzgeralds Emerald card

We have stayed at the Fitz the last 2 times in town and it's been pretty good for us. My wife recently received an Emerald card in the mail, and it is apparently a second tire of benefits. Does anyone have any experience with this program? Is it new?
July 4th weekend, and can't wait!!
