Yes folks, it's time! My annual Sister Trip 09 (makes #6) is starting on April Fools day, for two more "fools" to be in Las Vegas! Busy schedule, here's what we have so far. Wed, arrive (me by 8:30 am, sister by 11 AM),get rental from Dollar, drop bags/check in Flamingo, pick up sis at airport, head to Margaritaville for the first alcoholic toast to the fact we've able to make another trip together :D. Then eat somewhere and maybe hit the road to Zappo's, (always need new shoes), check out the MResort (new casino, maybe looser slots because new? one can hope), stop at my "home" South Point on the way back or just head back to Strip and play for a while. I will have to be back in the room by 10 pm (gotta watch the series finale :( of my favorite cop show Life on Mars), plus I have to go to bed early because then on Thursday we're on the road to Williams Arizona to meet up with Marvelous Marv of Marvelous Marv's Grand Canyon Tours at 8:30 AM, in AZ!! Figure we need to get on the road by 4:30 AM (3.5 hour drive Vegas to Williams). Told sister she can stay up and sleep in the car on the road trip in the morning :D.
In Williams we're staying at the Grand Motel on Route 66. Marvelous Marv will cruise us around the south rim Grand Canyon for the better part of the day. Then will hit somewhere in Williams for dinner and then I'll be ready to fall asleep by then I'm sure!! Leave Williams Friday morning sometime (probably have to check out a few Route 66 touristy things per sister's request), and get back to Las Vegas in time to go watch the Summit Auto Parts Drag Racing nationals at the LVMS in the afternoon (racing ends by 6:30 pm), got cheap ($19) general admission tickets at the will call window. After the races, decide on what show we want to see, no idea what sister is interested in but it will have to be cheep. And it all ends on Saturday morning, back to the airport by 10AM to return car and catch our flights back home.
It's going to be a good kind of crazy!!!! eek:
