Three of us went to the breakfast buffet at The Paris on Wednesday morning. We arrived around 8:45, and found a line had already formed. We only had to wait about 10 minutes though, and were soon seated. Our seats were on the aisle, close to the main entrance and exit of the buffet. Not a problem. We didn’t notice heavy traffic going by directly behind us.
I had been to the buffet before, but don’t remember breakfast, although I must have tried it before. One of the main reasons for going was to try the crepes, which everyone talks about, and I know I had never tried them even if I had been there before.
This is a list of what I remember being on the buffet, although I know there was more I’m forgetting. There are assorted pate choices along with crackers, several types of sausage (Andouille, chicken, and traditional breakfast varieties), home fries, hash browns, Lyonnaise potatoes, scrambled eggs, scrambled eggs with salmon, a made-to-order omelet station, Bleu cheese & crab quiche (excellent!!), waffles, pancakes, French toast, cheese blintzes.
I made it to the crepe station, which wasn’t busy at all this morning, and tried a blueberry-filled crepe topped with raspberry sauce and whipped cream. They have a variety of other fruit fillings and assorted toppings. I though the crepe was OK. But I’m not really a crepe person. I like them, but I don’t go out of my way for them.
Some other items available that morning included ham at the carving station, bacon and Canadian bacon, whitefish, lox with all the toppings, and lots of fresh fruit. The fresh blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries were excellent. They also have hot cereal on the buffet – cream of wheat and oatmeal. There is a variety of cheeses, dessert breads/muffins/rolls.
Service at the buffet was excellent. Drinks were promptly filled and empty dishes were quickly removed. I would highly recommend this buffet for a good breakfast.
