Is this show good? What's it about? What is the difference in the VIP package and regular tickets? Can you get good seats the day of the show?

It 'can' be lots of fun....it's kinda up to you.
It's a wedding, you're a guest along with the whole family of
the bride and groom...there's some real charactors in the family.

You wander in, find your table, talk to folks, go up to the buffet
of pastas, salad, bread (open bars are there...you buy) there's cake
and a glass of bubblie for a toast.

Short ceremony, and some best-wish speaches...all clownin' around and
entertaining.
The live band play, you dance, things happen all over the room, etc.

When I say it's up to 'you' (the crowd) it's a reception...you're suppose to
get into it/have a good time/drink/party/dance.
The antics and personalities of the family are a big part and they do things
all night long and interact with everyone.....it's fun, I did it years ago and
it's about the only dinner/show around. Foods pretty good...you can't mess
up pasta, bread, and salad too much...it works!

Our daughter saw it twice in NYC. When the wedding party pulled up (in a beat up station wagon) one guy admired her jacket, another commented on her tan and asked if she'd been on vacation. At the party, as actor asked her to dance.

If you're comfortable with this type of entertainment, then it's lots of fun. The second time our daughter saw it, she brought a really glitzy little knick knack to give as a wedding present (she had noticed the first time that people brought gag gifts).

Eileen and I attended the media performance of the show when it first opened. The show was a lot of fun especially the mingling with the audience by the perfomers.

The food offering left a lot to be desired as they has only salad, bread and pasta. There was no meat at all. Maybe the menu has changed but don't go to the show hungry.

I know lots of folks like Tony and Tina's Wedding but we thought it fell flater than a pancake. Now maybe it was because I am a Kalefornia native and don't understand or appreciate East Coast humor. Maybe the cast had an off night. Maybe our audience group just wasn't "with it".

I enjoy audiance particpation shows like mystery dinners and the like but what little opportunity there was for audience partipation was limited to actors playing drunk sitting with us at our table yelling insults at the other cast members.

Note, the dinner part of the program is at the very end, so don't plan on eating for a while when you go. We were hungry when we went in thinking the dinner was during the show and not after the show.

This is a change from when we saw it as the food was very close to the begining of the show.
