My wife and I are considering going to a time share to see what is offered. I am wondering which time shares offer the best freebies for participating in their presentation? If anyone has info on what they received and how long the presentation was, that would be great.

We will be staying at the Sahara while we are in Vegas. Anyone had any luck with the "$20.00 trick" there? We are arriving on a Friday and leaving on a Monday.

Thanks

We will not be buying a time share, just wanting to waste a morning and get something for it. If anyone has info on what they received and how long the presentation was, that would be great.

Why not waste your whole trip and go to all of them.
most time share presentations are about two hrs. If You work it out right you can get in about 3 per day.
Before you go there is a book on the market on how to survive a timeshare presentation by Lisa Ann Schreier. I sugest that you read.
Most timeshares offer the same gifts {show tickets and dinners} some offer cash.
Be sure to tell the sales person up front that you are not going to buy and that you are just there to waste there time, and to receive a free gift. Most t/s sales people love to hear this, as they work on commision.

On average they last 1-2 hrs, although the ones that they "bus" you to can be longer as I have heard complaints from some folks who felt like they were hostages.

Although I love my time shares, unless you are thinking in that direction, don't go. I know that the time share industry has more than their fare share of slimey sales people, there are some that are actually human, they make a living selling time shares, so don't waste their time or yours.

Hubby and I sat in on one for the Lady Luck timeshare. It was really a nice complex. We each got $80 bucks for going. It took about 1-2 hours to go thru all the different types of rooms that they had to offer. It breaks up the day a little which isn't bad if the slots aren't hitting. You'd just have to figure out what you want out of the "deal" that they offer. Hubby and I have also devised a plan to get around them when they are hawking on the street (because they look for couples). When we see them we just split up for a moment and we look like single people.

Vegas Vic and Vickie have gone to a couple of timeshares over the years. We usually plan on checking them out on LV Blvd. on our first day as we wonder around. There are plenty to choose from on mid strip. You can usually get 2 show tickets to Jubilee or simillar show plus a couple of buffets.

We schedule for the next day and just work the timeshare into the whole gambling and sightseeing thing.

I just say, if you have better things to do, go do them. If you want and enjoy a break from gambling, then they can work out nicely.

The Golden Nugget is full of people selling time shares to couples be careful what you wish for.

I am a firm believer that the $20 trick is a waste of time. You can do just as well with a nice attitude and just ask.
