We had reservations for 6:00, but got there about 20 minutes early and they seated us. We got a table by the window. Best in the house right next to the bar. The view is very good of the strip and the restaurant is very comfortable and cosy. Billed as business casual, but there were some people in t-shirts, jeans and sandals. We dressed up. There is some entertainment on the weekends. Don't remember the fellow's name but he played and sang good background music. Not too loud.
To start hubby ordered shrimp cocktail; he said it was the freshest shrimp he had eaten since we were in Florida years ago.(5 out of 5 forks) I got the creamy 5 onion soup. It was served in a roasted onion. Very good, but not as good as the same soup at Antonio's at the Rio.(4 forks)
Next came salads. He got the house salad. (5 forks) I got the casear salad. Very good. Not too much dressing. (5 forks)
Then the main course. He got the grilled rib-eye w/a baked potato. Really good, he said. (5 forks) I got the Dover sole which was tasty, but I thought it was a little short on the sole. It came with scalloped potatoes and spinach. There were more veggies than sole. The potatoes had a few pieces that were not cooked. (3.5 forks)
Next came the flaming apple dumpling. Since it was billed as flaming, I thought it would be so hot it would burn your tongue. NOT. It was just barely warm, but tasty. (3.5 forks)
Our tea and coffee were very good. Was freshly made and the coffee was good and hot. (5 forks)
Service was excellent. Always there when you needed something, but not intrusive. We tipped big. (5 forks)
Will probably go again since hubby's was so good. I will try something else on the menu next time. They have calves liver. Might try that. And maybe the chocolate cake.
