Joe and Delia here from CA. I've been a member here for almost a year now. I love this site and I love Vegas. We try and got to Vegas 3-4 times a year. We were there just last week, but before that we hadn't been there in 9 months. We had to cancel 2 different trips, so going to Veags is pure heaven for both of us.

We aren't high rollers, but can gamble for hours if lady luck is our side. When we go we have a bankroll which has always allowed us to play for our whole stay. My wife has a lot of luck. She won $4300 in an Indian casino, then won $10,000 five weeks later. I have won $3200 about two months later. In December of '08, I won $1200 on a .25 slot at the El Cortez.

I am an educator and my wife owns her own business, and we try and get to Vegas at least quarterly. Currently we are shooting for early April for our next trip.

We used to stay at the El Cortez but they have been a little snooty with us so our last trip was at the Fitz and that will be our home base. I know a lot of the folks on this site like to stay on the Strip, but we like DT because we would rather gamble than go to a show, that is just our preference. Staying DT and having a ball gambling is just a stress reliever for us.

We love this site and it is cool getting to know some of you through this website. Thank you Steve!

Thank you for sharing your bio with us Joe! ELV is a great site, we too greatly enjoy it. I wish we were as close as you. After a decade of fares at or under $400 for the two of us, our airfares have been killing us from Tampa for the past several years. BG is also luckier than I. I guess I am the ole ball and chain around her neck in the casino. LOL Our middle child is a teacher as well. I think the way your are treated by a casino makes a world of difference. The gang at Treasure Island has always been just super with us and make us feel very special too. If the Fitz is working for you, stay with it! Downtown really is a lot of fun and it is so easy to move about to all the different casinos. It’s all about where you have the most fun and the best luck. Best Wishes to you on your future visits.

Not the woman of this house :)
My man wins more often than I do, probably because when he's ahead, he stops playing. He usually plays VP at one of the bars', when he wins, he just quits and has another drink or two.

Hi Joe - glad you found us. Great people here and we always enjoy reading about other people's fun trips to Vegas!! Keeps us all connected and for those of us that don't get to go nearly as often as we'd like - keeps us feeling like we are looking over your shoulder and having fun with you on your journey. Thanks for sharing.
