Has Harrah's buffet reopened? Is it better than before, same or no change? What's the cost to eat there now? TIA...

Just got back this weekend (Oct. 30). The buffet is still being renovated. You can go to Andreottis (Italian) and they have the buffet set up there. Not quite as big, but the prices are still the same for the time being.

Does anyone know when the new renovated buffet is suppose to open. We are going to Vegas 12/4 and I was hoping it would be open by then.

As far as we could tell, it will be in the same place as before, just supposed to be more modern and better.

Almost all the posts about this temporary buffet have been negative. I sure hope the new buffet is an improvement as my personal opinion about the former buffet are also very negative.

The buffet is scheduled to open on December 16th according to a friend at Harrah's.

Just got back from LV. Ate at Flavors. Not bad. Ate dinner there on the 21st. Small salad bar. Individual cooking stations w/soups at each one. Italian station was very good. Fish station had fresh fish. Mexican station was fair. Asian station looked good, but we are not into Asian. Dessert station was okay but not as large as before. All in all the food was fresher and better than before but not astoundingly good.
Hubby ate breakfast there on the 23rd and he thought it was very good. Much better than before.

I went for lunch the first day they opened.
I enjoyed the salads (where a few items were hard to reach), the Italian station (great pasta and pizza), the cornish hens (!), and the desserts (included gelato and creme brulee').
The Southwestern station (called "Ole'") was just OK (guacomole tasted like Taco Bell's), however, I did like the make-your-own tacos, plus they had beef burritos and chicken tamales...a good variety.
My steak from the carving station was medium, but tough, however my mom liked hers, so I guess that's hit or miss. Didn't try the prime rib, though.
I didn't try the seafood station (called "Splash"). They had shrimp, no crab legs, but it was lunchtime. I also didn't try the Asian station (which had sushi) however those selections did look appetizing.
I think generally speaking, this buffet is a vast improvement over the old one (which I didn't care for that much), and I would recommend it. As far as the price, I felt it was well worth the $15.

I'm in total agreement. A few of the dishes changed from the previous version of the buffet, but the quality overall is about the same. It's a decent buffet, but that's all I can say for it.

We also ate the buffet for lunch and it was much better than the old buffet. In fact I enjoyed it more than the Mirage buffet. I like "regular" food and found this buffet to be seasoned well and a wide variety. They were handing out coupons for the buffet too which made it a bargain in my opinion.

Harrah's will update the coupons on a regular basis at the Carnival Court.
The buffet just recently reopened so I am sure the coupons are current. They are usually $5.00 off per person.

We ate there on Monday January 9, 2006 and had the breakfast buffet. We used one of the coupons handed out in the carnival court and it saved $10 for 2 people.
The breakfast was excellent, service was good and the food was fresh and plentifull. It worked out quite reasonable and you can have both juice and coffee or tea if you wish.
All in all, a great experience. :)
