Unbelievable. Southwest had Las Vegas on sale two days only! $90 R/T from San Diego. Jumped on that and got Harrahs for $37 for two nights (comp the first). Staying 2/19-2/21. This is too soon since the last trip but I don't care.

Polar and Roxy,

Here's the thing: No husband, no kids, very few Xmas/Chaunukah presents. I just couldn't pass it up. Called Flamingo Mo and she was still hurting from the holidays plus 2009 is their year to get out of debt. Then I called Sharon. We haven't gone together since 2005 so it's time. I talked her into temporarily cutting the umbilical cord from her 18 y/o and 15/ y/o sons (I'm sure those boys will thank me).

My first trip with Sharon was right after Mirage opened, back in 89?. We didn't even know about the volcano--just kind of ran into it, if you will. It will be interesting to see her take on the new and improved version. Plus, I'm really jazzed about seeing Encore!

S/B a good trip report.

I know what you're saying, Nevada. That comp kind of seals the deal, doesn't it? The first dates we chose 2/5-7, were to be comped at Harrah's but my friend's kid had something going on that she needed to attend. Still, two nights for $20 each isn't a deterrent.

Too bad we're not going at the same time, I sure would like a tuna hoagie!

OK, you have my cell number. I'm at work until 4pm or so today and tomorrow but after that....

The Southwest fare originally was $64 per night but, with 50% off it worked out to $32 each way plus taxes of course. Keep watching Ding. On my last trip, Ding kept coming up with better rates and I think I finally got it at $45 each way, plus tax.
