Where in Las Vegas can you get a great homestyle Breakfast? A place with good bacon, not that cheap thinnly sliced stuff, crispy hash browns and over easy or over medium eggs cooked just the way you ordered them. Nothing foofy...just a darned good breakfast. Oh yeah...I'm not interested in buffets's either. Thanks for any ideas.

I've not eaten there myself but the Peppermill seems to get rave reviews.

If your willing to venture off Strip - try the Original Pancake House, they have several locations throughout town, the only one in a casino is located at Green Valley Ranch. Otherwise I can second the recommendation for the Peppermill (12 egg omelettes!!) and also recommend the Coco's by the San Remo - standard coffee shop but with GREAT breakfasts and if you go in the middle of the night it's always amusing to hang out with the "escort girls" (ie: hookers) who are there waiting for calls from their "schedulers" (ie: madams)....

A couple of years ago I stayed at Bally's, and in their lower level there is a deli that serves breakfast. $6.95 (2 years ago), you get 2 eggs any style, bacon or sausage, hash browns, any kind of toast, coffee/tea. I had no complaints at all. Sometimes a little line waiting (not as long as a buffet line), and sometimes no more tables/chairs to eat at, but what a yummy homestyle breakfast for a moderate price! (I'm sure it hasn't gone up too much in 2 years!) Only wish I remembered the name of the deli, but it is next to Sbarro's Rest.

Peppermill is definately one choice. They've got thick-sliced bacon, and it comes out nice and crispy. The place isn't the cheapest, but the portions are big, and you'll get a nice hearty breakfast.
I'll 2nd the idea of The Coffee Shop at TI. I was there a couple weeks ago, and they did a really good job. And since they renovated and converted from the Terrace Cafe, they're much improved.
A couple other choices: Carnegie Deli @ Mirage, Stage Deli @ Caesars Forum Shops, Grand Lux @ Venetian.

Sounds like I'll have to try Peppermill. I'll be staying at The Mirage, so Carnegie Deli is definately on my list. We will probably go out for 3 or 4 nice meals while there in December, but the rest of the time I just want some good honest food! Thanks to all for the suggestions.

I had breakfast four mornings running at the America restaurant at New York New York. Can't tell you what the price was because it was comped. Food was plentiful and good except the morning I had corn beef hash. Not so good. Service was good and the room is pretty cool, too. I think they're open 24/7, but check on that for sure if you're planning to go at 4:30 AM.;)
The Coffee Shops at the Orleans and Gold Coast also have a very inexpensive breakfast. (Same menu as the Barbary Coast, but about $2-3 cheaper.) If you have a car, I recommend checking one of these out.
Also, the Palms has a relatively inexpensive breakfast buffet.

luckys 24/7 at the Hard Rock has good breakfast.
one of my favs is Bay City Diner in the Golden Gate downtown. Not the most fancy joint in vegas ,but good breakfast. don't know how anything else tastes. i always get breakfast when i eat there.
I am from the south. and breakfast is a big deal down here. and trying to find a good southern breakfast is hard to do in vegas. A lot of my favorite places to go have either closed or changed.
i am not very big on buffets either.
I will have to try peppermill. haven't eaten there yet.

We like the Luxor Breakfast. We usually get comped. but I think the cost is $10 per person. They have everything from eggs, [made by a chef] anyway you want them to italian pastries. Pleanty of fruit, juices, and any other breakfast item. Also have Blintz's which I love with the hot strawberries.
Coffe is exceptional.
We have always had a great breakfast at Binion's downtown.

I usually never eat breakfast but a few trips back I went to the Mirage buffet and I have to say it was very good, especially the Mexican Chicken Wrap. Lots of other good selections.

We just had breakfast at the Sao Paulo/Rio.:) Was wonderful. Hubby ordered steak (medium), was perfect; easy-over eggs, also done to perfection. I got pancakes that were hot and fluffy and the bacon was crisp although not really thick. Fruit was fresh and juicy. Prices are middle of the road. We went overboard and our bill was out of sight, but you can eat there for about $10 to $12 per person and get good home-cooked fare. Honestly, this was the best breakfast we have had in a long time.

Thanks for the info Sonntex...and everyone else. Many were mentioning cheap. I don't care what it costs, as long as it is good. :) I just want to find a great breakfast without all the glitz. Something I scan sit down and order without standing in a long line. Something cooked to order and brought to my table while I relax and wake up. I'll have to give the Sao Paulo a try. Thanks again for the tips.

The selection, food and prices were good at the Stardust's coffee shop the 2 or three times I was there and my favorite menu pick was the Eggs Rothschild (Eggs Benny w Filet Mignon medallions instead of ham/bacon).
I've never seen it anywhere else and would like to get it again on my next trip at another location if anyone has any suggestions.I will be staying at the Main Street Station and the Aladdin on my upcoming trip.

WOW that is good because I thought the Terrace Cafe at TI was good before the renovation, I will have to give the new place a try. Also for a good breakfast (and I mean really good) try the Bellagio, I know you are looking for bacon and eggs and they do a great job, smoked applewood bacon is very good. However, they also make the best pancakes I have ever tried in my life. Caribe Cafe at Mirage does a good breakfast, but Bellagio is the best I have had.

I'm a breakfast guy and I heartily recommend the Stage Deli @ Caesars Forum Shops. However, come hungry because the servings are huge!

The Orleans coffee shop has a good breakfast from 11pm to 7am for 1.99.
If you like donuts, I highly recommend Ronald's donuts at 4600 Spring Mountain Road. If you want "celestial" donuts, check Ronalds out.

We always eat at Sam's Town cafe and I usually get the steak and eggs breakfast special for 3.99 (24 hrs.) while hubby eats the prime rib or whatever. It is a lot of food for the money, and I have never been disappointed in the quality of the food or service.

Breakfast? What's breakfast?
However, for the meal eaten at 3am after a hard night of gambling, I concur with the cheap eats at the Orleans coffee shop. I have been known to eat one as I stumble back toward my room there.... very tasty.

Does the Victoria Room (I think that's the name) at the Barbary Coast still have $2.99 breakfast during the wee hours of the morning? I ate there a few times during NFR week after Gilley's closed. I remember getting decent breakfasts, but then again, it was after an evening of hard partying. LOL.

Blueberry Hill is the consistently best breakfast in LV, clean, friendly and breakfast is served 24/7.The French toast is wonderful. The BH closest to the strip on Spring Mountain closed several years ago, but there are others fairly nearby - check the phone book.

Peppermill is just south of the Riviera and across the strip from the Stardust. Well worth a visit---step in the lounge and see some old-time Vegas.:)

Downtown on the corner of Freemont and Main on the second floor of the Las Vegas Club is a place called The Upper Deck. Wonderful cooked-to-order breakfasts, great service, and Denny's-like prices. It must be a closely guarded secret, because I've never seen it crowded, always gotten immediate seating. It gets my vote! My trip to Vegas is not complete unless I hit it at least once for breakfast, and at least once for lunch! (Great bacon cheeseburgers!) Just don't ask for grits or sweetened iced tea, they will look at you like you are from another planet or something.
but that's just me...

I agree with the Orleans...the coffee shop has a 1.99 special from 11pm-7am and the breakfast buffet is good too and reasonably priced. If you like donuts, check Ronald's donut on Spring Mountain. Going from the strip, it's on the right, on the block just before Decatur. I've read that some people call them celestial......I agree.
