Las Vegas snow update: The final snow tally from the Vegas winter storm is now 3.6 inches. Repeating what we mentioned earlier this morning:

3.6 inches has fallen at the National Weather Service in Las Vegas which is located about 2 miles southwest of McCarran International Airport. The NWS released a statement on this rare, historic snowfall:

This is the most snow ever in the month of December in Las Vegas since the start of official records which began in 1937.

Measurable snow has only fallen on four instances since 1937 in the month of December in Las Vegas counting Wednesday's snowfall.

This is now the 8th greatest snowstorm ever in Las Vegas for any month.
