For a multitude of reasons, I have not been to Las Vegas in over two years. I used to go 3-4 times a year. It seems that I have been reading everywhere that comps are way down and that people are paying more for things that were once comped (even in the bad economy!). I am going to LV in two weeks, and I am curious as whether it will be the same as I remember.
I primarily play horses and bet sports, with the occasional foray into the BJ or Craps tables. I primarily play at south strip casinos: MC, Excal, Lux ... etc. The drink service has always been phenomenal, and usually by dinner time I can get a comp for the snack shop/coffee house if I ask (and sometimes when I don't), and often a line pass for the next morning's buffet. At the end of my stay I usually can get a tiny little chunk off of my bill.
I push maybe $250-$500 through the windows on the horses and sports. And maybe a little less on the table games.
Should I expect the free drinks and small comps to continue or no?
Thanks for any help!
