New Year's Eve FREE - I can't believe it!

Yesterday, I noticed an online offer for 3 free nights at Ballys or Rio 12/29 thru 1/2/09. Of course I booked immediately.

I actually had 2 offers. The one I just mentioned, and one for Imperial Palace (3 free nights) + a NYE party! I called for the IP one (who doesn't want a free New Year's Eve party, right?), but the party was 'sold out'. I was asked if I wanted to book it anyway and be put on a waiting list for the party, but I just opted to go for the Ballys offer instead (which is where I'd rather stay, anyway).

I booked Ballys instead of Rio (although the Voodoo Lounge should be a blast that night!!), largely because of the Strip being blocked off that evening due to the fireworks (at least I hope there are fireworks). Since transportation is a hassle that night I figured Ballys was the best bet.

I then went to book airfare. I braced myself for the worst, and it was pretty bad, averaging about $420 RT (from Chicago). But considering we have a flexible schedule and a Southwest credit from a past flight, I got away with paying just $270.

I'm doing the happy dance right now. So check your online offers guys, just in case! :D

I did get one for NOLA though. Filled up before I could book it. Boo hoo.
