I finally have a trip in the works! My last trip was December last year and I normally go twice a year, but rising air fare and a job change prevented that this year. I will be in Las Vegas on Jan 2 and depart Jan 7. Hotels are the Mirage, then the Palazzo, all comped. I'm taking my mother and we will be celebrating her 78th birthday in Vegas. I already purchased tickets for Bette Midler and Jersey Boys. We may also see Rita Rudner while there, since I have a coupon for two free tickets. Now, I need to start thinking about what restaurants we want to try. Also, Mom has never been to the wax museum, so we will do that this trip. It feels great to have a Las Vegas trip in the near future!

Good deal, Mary. We have a booking at Harrahs for the 1st thru the 5th. Got free tics to Neal Diamond. Woo hoo. Don't know for sure if we'll make it. Haven't bought our plane tickets yet. Just depends how this trip to the Venetian in two weeks turns out. But if we make it - we have to get together.

Definitely make sure you bring a camera to Madame Tussauds wax museum when you go - there is a "Wedding" scene with George Clooney (and a wax priest) and your mom can put a white veil on and pretend she is "marrying" George Clooney lol while you snap away. She can also put on some bunny ears and pose on a round bed with Hugh Hefner....there are a lot of fun photos ops that will make that experience a lot of fun for her and she will be able to look back on those pics and remember what a great time she had...

Fun trip you are looking forward to, Mary. I know you & your Mom will love
Jersey Boys & Bette is a great entertainer. And as jr recommended, take
photos at Madame Tusseaud's. After you take one of your Mom with George
Clooney, she can take one of you with him - way better than Hef. Have a
great time, both of you!
