WHAT A MESS. Originally this upcoming trip was for 13 nights, 1st 4 nights at Harrah's with "Laugh your Slots Off" tournament and an extra day for checking out the local joints. next 3 nights at Palazzo also with a slot tournament and my first invitation there. THEN I was going to stay at IP for 3 nights booked under the gift exchange offer, and last was 3 nights at Paris for a nice big Invitational Poker tournament for my husband.
I called the Paris last week to verify that the poker tournament was still on because we read the poker room there was closed as of Oct. 6. I was told the tournament is still on and will be in on of the ballrooms BUT she does not see a reservation for me for the tournament. I gave her my confirmation number, and after a long while and a talk with a supervisor I was told that the computer automatically canceled my tournament reservation because it was back to back with the gift exchange offer but they would still comp the room for 3 nights. I was originally assured I can book these together because the gift exchange was not a cash event. Well after a couple more calls and please hold etc., I was informed NO POKER Tournament for us. They tried to get it back but in the time that it was canceled and now the tournament was full. So I will only be in Las Vegas for the first 2 legs of the trip as the only reason we really booked the 3 nights at IP was not to have to drive home and back between Palazzo and Paris offers. We are not Happy with all this and very upset with Paris, and Harrah's computer system.
I know I will cheer up as soon as I hit the strip and hopefully win something at Harrah's and live in luxury for 3 nights at Palazzo. Husband has already got the schedules for the regular everyday Texas Hold-um tournaments at Harrah's to keep him happy too.
