Heading out soon. Got an offer from HET that I could not pass up. Only hotel for the offer was Ballys. Had to take it. Anyway, looking for some information on the casino and the rooms. Maybe some good food in the hotel itself. Any help would be appreciated.

Ballys rooms are larger than the average room on the strip - not huge but nice sized. Beds are comfortable. The baths are nice. The decor is okay and clean. The rooms in the North Tower are nicer but you don't get much of a view. The South Tower has a better view and I think some of those rooms have been redone.

The only place we have eaten at Ballys is the steakhouse - it's good. The buffet is gone. You also have access to the Paris restaurants thru the connecting shopping mall. There is also another shopping mall downstairs that has a lot of good souvie shops.

The casino is okay. Some folks like it a lot - my hubby has one slot machine there that he likes to play - I have none although I have donated quite a bit to them. There are a lot of penny and nickel machines. There are some quarter and dollar machines that are fairly loose.
I have seen some $5 tables there once in a while on weekdays, but most of the time the minimums are at least $10 and there are only 1 or 2.

The lounge music is great.

I have never stayed at Bally's. I have stayed at Paris a few X's. I have lots of friends who have stayed at B and love it.
Great location.
I like the vibe in Bally's casino and at night the Motown music form the Indigo Bar is great to play near.

Rooms have always been very nice and quite large. I do suggest the North Tower, unless you really must have a view.

Personally, I do not like the casino. But the location of Bally's is so good that you can go anywhere else within minutes.

Have only had a meal at their coffee shop once, and that is enough for me.

We have stayed at Ballys on several occasions and enjoy it very much. Can't beat the location. Rooms are quite large, clean, decent beds. As stated above, the North Tower has the most recent remodeled rooms, but we never have any kind of a view from that Tower. We enjoy the casino in the evenings, it is quieter than a lot of them and the music at the Indigo lounge is very good. We have eaten at the coffee shop quite a few times, good food, reasonable prices and good service. Steak house is good, downstairs there is a small food court with a deli, pizza place etc. I really don't think you can go wrong for the price staying at Ballys.

I agree with everyone above about the North Tower rooms. They are nicer than the South Tower. I stay at Bally's every trip and love it there. The sidewalk cafe has pretty good food and not expensive. The Steakhouse, while more expensive has really good food. The Sterling Brunch on Sundays is the best, most expensive buffet in town. The little deli, Nosh, has pretty good sandwiches, especially the corned beef, and the little coffee bar up front has wonderful blueberry muffins. In the mornings and early evenings, the party pit area of the casino has $ 5.00 Let-It-Ride, Texas Hold'em, and Black Jack. Later in the evening, it does go to $ 10.00. The Party pit area is fun though because you win prizes on top of the money and is always jumping and has fun dealers. The poker room is small, but nice, with good dealers and comfortable chairs. The tunnel between Bally's and Paris is great and there are always lots of choices there for food if you don't find something to your liking at Ballys. The location is great with easy walks to Bill's, Caesar's, Bellagio, Flamingo and Paris. Enjoy!!

Bally's is our "home" along with Paris. If you can get one of the rooms in the South tower....high floor with uneven #...we just had 6637 in August...it is wonderful. New beds are great...no more bedspreads - yuk, they redocor with soft colors & carpet is very plush for the time being. We could look out the window - it did need cleaning - to see & hear the B fountains. We have stayed in the North tower once...never again with all the South has to offer. Food is better next door at Paris than Bally's. Mon Ami Gabi is wonderful, Paris breakfast buffy is yummy - Cafe St Louis has very good food & usually late nite specials - can people watch from the patio tables too.
We are trying to find a way to plan for the 1st week of March instead of waiting for our annual Aug trip. Hope to find decent air fare since our rooms are always free & our comps cover all our food.
Hope you have a great trip!!
