Does anyone know where they still play live Keno? It seems that more and more casinos are doing away with it. I still enjoy sitting down and playing Keno but I don't care for it on the machines.

I am staying at Sam's Town and I know they used to have it but they don't mention it on their website.

Not only is live keno harder and harder to find... the set-up for it is pretty terrible. Example: the chairs... i can remember when the MGM had jumbo chairs with individual armrests on both the right and left side, comfortable, drinkholder, etc! Now, you get the little arm-chair 'thing' that a little kid would be comfortable in.

Now Bally's has little mini tables with movable chairs in its' lounge. Not a perfect setup, but not bad.

GN has outstanding chairs!! Very nice lounge. It's hidden behind the poker room. But, only 4 chairs. The downside is that their live game is computer-drawn.

Sunset Station has keno.
Red Rock has keno.
The CAL has keno.

The ones that I know of are....

Fremont -- to the left side, away from the buffet area - towards the hotel check-in.

California - in the back near the check-in area.

Caesars Palace - go past the Pussy Cat Lounge, past the sports area and it's right in the center - actually near the staircase that leads downstairs to the restrooms.

Ballys - Facing the hotel check-in area, go to the right, past the pastry area and down near the bar towards the buffet.

Silverton - go towards the buffet and it's on the left side.

I could swear that there was a live keno area in the Rio near the Chippendales Theatre area and like Steve mentioned, one by the keno machines at the Flamingo.

I thought The Wynn had a really nice Keno room? Someone was telling me this, I forget each time I am there to check it out.
Excalibur's is now part of their Sports Book. Smaller too. I liked their previous one.
Stardust had the best. Nice comfy chairs. Good for when you are hung over the next day, just play $20 worth and sit and relax.

Sam's Town just moved and remodeled their Keno and poker areas. They built a huge, brand new sportsbook as well. It looks lovely, even though I never use any of those areas. I think you'll be impressed. They laid all new carpet about 8 months ago too. I think I probably paid for most of it!

Oh no! Has Harrahs closed their live keno parlor? Wondering what happened to Linda, Larry, Vikki, Earl and the other long time keno writers.

We were there November 07 and played at the keno lounge (in front of the Cafe).

Harrahs racebook - gone. Keno gone too?

Two more reasons to spend our gambling dollars closer to home, unfortunately.

I checked out the keno lounge last night. They have 16 high back, padded, spinning chairs. 4 at each of the 4 long counters, where you can write your tickets. I looked through the flyer explaining the different games and payouts, and I just don't get the whole concept. So, I didn't play. I'd rather just go upstairs and play bingo.

The sports book has leather chairs, with a 10" wide table/arm rest, complete with cup holder. The chairs look very wide from the back, but when I sat down in one, I'd have to say they're no wider than a standard size laz-e-boy recliner.

The sports bar deli is a little over priced too. 3.99 for a shrimp cocktail that's only half the size of the one at the Golden Gate. (.99 with card) My hot dog and small soda was $4.50.

Great feedback, v-babe.

Yeah, keno can get complicated (if you play the 'WAY' tickets). I didnt finally master them til i was about 14. True story.

So.... tell me 'bout the bingo room upstairs... i have 'heard' it's undergoing a remodel or "WILL" ???

I don't know! I've never actually been to the bingo room, but I understand bingo a lot better than I do this keno thing!

Also, those were "swivel" chairs, not "spinning" chairs. I just couldn't think of the right word last night!

walked past the Rio's Keno area today too. It looked very nice. Individual chairs with mini table arm rests.
