Hi
I have tried twice to post my trip report (both times they have been long reports), but when I click Submit New Thread I am asked to sign in again and then lose the post all together. I am told to push the back button and end up in a loop but cannot get back to my post. Help !
Thanks, Eveepee

Yikes, that has happened to me once or twice (notwithstanding the sign-in error).
What i do is this - while i compose my TR .. OR ANY long thread... while typing it out:
about 1/3 the way thru - HILITE IT - & hit CTRL C (you're saving it to memory)
about 2/3 the way thru - do the same
when finished - do the same
so, when you hit "submit" and something goes screwy - you've got it saved!! Or, if you're espcially afraid, lol, after you hit CTRL-C... open up WORD, or WORD PAD, or WORD PERFECT.. and click CTRL-V to paste it & you can see with your own eyes, and slow your nervous heartbeat.
I know exactly what you mean with that BACK BUTTON, it's a doozy. Message me if you need add'l help / ideas. Or, tips with a TR. Perhaps the best tip of all: type in paragraphs, and LEAVE A SPACE between the paragraphs (our eyes love that!!! :D ) Not joking.

You could also try typing the report in Word or Notepad and then copy and paste it into the space. That's what I do. I'm too afraid of making mistakes, so I need my Word editor!

Thanks for the tips folks.... when I have the odd few hours spare (!), I will attempt to re-type and post...watch this space.
Kind regards

Like Misscyin, I type it into my word processor program and save it there. That way I can edit and make corrections before the copy and paste. If there is a problem, I still have the document.
In fact, I save my TR's in a file so I can go back and re-read them months later.

Thanks everyone for your helpful tips... I have now managed to post my trip report (in three parts) as I didn't want to gamble on losing it all again ! I took your advice and typed it in Word then copied and pasted it onto the site.
Now all I have to do is wait until next year to do it all over again.
Cheers

I like to print mine out and include them in my photo album.

I just had the issue of my computer logging me out during my trip report. That's why I did it in 3 parts. Luckily, I didn't lose anything.
